For those that use a screen reader, you can now skip the navigation on the D&D Beyond website and go straight to the content you're looking for. For those that don't use a screen reader, It might seem like a small change, but it's huge if you're navigating around DDB using a screen reader.
For those of us that don't use screen readers, this is what it looks like.
If you'd like to try it out for yourself, but you've never used a screen reader before, here's a couple of links that can help you try it out.

Lovely update :-)
Aloha! ;)
Thank you for continuing to make DDB more accessible.
Personally, I had other ways to skip around the page (via System Access on my laptop & VoiceOver on my iPhone), but this is definitely helpful for those who don't have (or don't know about or choose not to use) other options for their non-mouse navigation. For example, many screen readers have keyboard shortcuts to jump to various webpage elements (such as the next header, button, link, non-link text, etc), but if someone hasn't learned these yet, or if they don't have a screen reader (maybe they use magnification instead or just invert the colors), tabbing through the mega menu would've been tedious before y'all added this link... Additionally, some people who also have mobility issues might be using switches, eye trackers, breath controls (sorry--forgot what they're called...), or other hardware or software options instead of keyboards to navigate web pages. These are always improving, but this link probably helps them cut down on the time and effort needed to get to the main content..
Oops--I was about to post this in Google Chrome (the reply editor didn't come up in Internet Explorer anyway), & I discovered the skip link works in IE, but not Chrome (tried it on both the homepage & on this changelog page). BTW, I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but when I open the context menu on the link in IE, I get several options, including "Open," "Open in New Tab," & "Open in New Window." However, doing the same thing in Chrome reveals only the latter 2 options...
Thanks, again! ;) --SFL
