Changes for October 6th, 2017

Additions:
  • Updated character builder to remove duplicate proficiency choices from features that grant those proficiencies automatically.
Bugs:
  • Fixed an issue where Rogue and Bard Expertise choices weren't being removed when losing its corresponding proficiency.
  • Fixed an issue with Knowledge Domain Cleric's Blessings of Knowledge not filtering out already chosen proficiencies.
Additional Notes:

This patch focuses on optimizing your character by removing duplicate proficiencies automatically across your character. For example, an Elf race grants the character proficiency in the Perception skill. Prior to this update, setting your character's race to any of the Elf races would grant you Perception, but wouldn't notify you if you've already selected Perception elsewhere, causing you to double dip in that proficiency, which doesn't benefit your character. Instead, your character is losing out on a proficiency.

With this update, any proficiency that is granted (given to you automatically without user choice), will remove that proficiency elsewhere and notify you that you've got a choice to make somewhere else in the character builder. This will hopefully make it easier for you to identify where you may not be using your character to their full potential.

Note: The optimizations are triggered when an action is made, so if your existing characters have duplicate proficiencies, that will remain. You will have to take some action related to the proficiency on the character for it to "correct itself".
