As a life domain cleric, I noticed that I have healing words (and other spell later on) as a bonus action. If you follow the following from the PHB :
A spell cast with a bonus action is especially swift. You must use a bonus action on your turn to cast the spell, provided that you haven't already taken a bonus action this turn. You can't cast another spell during the same turn, except for a cantrip with a casting time of 1 action.
that means I can't do a level 1 (or more )( spell then use healing word, correct? But I saw that in Critical role, they use a "can't be more than level 2" rule. Is that homebrew? But I'm fine if I use a cantrip, yes?

Yes, Mercer lets his players cast Healing Word up to spell level 2 and still cast another spell as an Action. He also makes drinking a potion a bonus action, as well. These are house rules.
Good day,

The official rule is the one you cited. If you can a spell as a bonus action, you can only cast a cantrip with the action on the same turn.
Critical Role has a custom feat “Spelldriver”. You can find details on page 109 of the Tal’Dorei Campaign Setting.

Even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in awhile.
There is nothing wrong with the official rule.
