Is the Revised Ranger from Unearthed Arcana going to be added? I play the Deep Stalker with the Revised Ranger and don't see either option in the class builder or the marketplace. Sucks cuz Beyond isn't very useful for me until those are added.
Unearthed Arcana isn't added yet, as it is unofficial material; it might be added as a future feature. Most likely, the Revised Ranger and the Deep Stalker in particular will be included in Xanathar's Guide to Everything, which will be added to purchasable content in November.
The deep stalker is being added to xanathars guide as the gloom stalker in November, but no mention of the revised ranger. The character builder is useless for me until the revised ranger is added. D&D beyond is still an awesome product, and we are acquiring the books one at a time as budget allows. However, I cannot wait until WotC allows the revised ranger to be added.
Revised ranger is coming soon from WotC. It will be a free supplement that "replaces" the PHB ranger. It was intentionally decided to do it this way so it would not cost any additional money and did not affect the plus 1 rule.
Since there had not been an official WotC announcement, DnD Beyond had not said anything, but I expect they willing probably get it before release and make available at the same time or quickly after.

Eh? The only thing Jeremy Crawford and Mike Mearls have announced is that there'll be another revision of the Revised Ranger soon. Where did they say it'll be a free supplement, or that it won't affect the PH+1 rule?
The last thing I heard was that they had a goal of making an offical, AL-legal version of the Revised Ranger sometime before the end of the year. Beyond that, who knows.
Last I read (do not really remember where atm, I'll try to find the source) was that they are shying away from the idea of Variant main classes, in favor of a "pick-and-choose" system for core class features, meaning adding options at certain levels to offer people more customisation of what the base class can do, without creating possible confusion with variant versions of them.
I would personally like this idea better.

The only problem I have with rogue archer is that I am missing fighting styles.
Would you swap the +D6 sneak attack damage every other level for a fighting style every other level? Rogue Archers also suffer 1 hp less per level than rangers and fighters. Perhaps you could switch up to a D10 HD in exchange for uncanny dodge or evasion?
The +2 bonus to hit from Archery fighting style seems about equivalent to the perks from a hunter ranger's Colossus Slayer or Horde Breaker. Thematically, aiming at a creature's existing wounds or firing off two arrows with one attack is just so much cooler than +2 to hit. YMMV.

Very true... the only "downside" I see is that those 2 arrows with one attack only come at level 17, but until then the Sneak Attack damage more than compensate for the lack for Extra Attack.

Awesome. Thanks for the update

Here is some tweets stating :They do not want it to require a purchase, and that it should be exempt from PHB+1 rule.
How set in stone those statements are, are certainly up to debate. But they do show intent.
Good find, thanks.
Also for what it is worth. Revised Ranger is NOT in the Xanathar's Guide, but Gloom Stalker (The finalized Deep Stalker archetype) is.
Thanks Thain. I saw it on the ToA stream in June when they also announced XGE. I now remember the tweets, but forgot them.

Anything new on this subject? I really wanna play an archer in a new campaign and would love it to be a ranger, but not the PHB edition.

Fighters make excellent archers.
Edit: So do rogues.
Roleplaying since Runequest.
I feel a Rogue Scout is actually a pretty solid alternative to a Ranger

Indeed, that's something that would be nice to have... a possible solution would be to have Fighting Styles be possible to take as Feats.
