I tried to find an answer on Google and on the forums ,apologies, my google-fu failed me.
Created 2 new monks, to test, and each time at Level 1 they show what I would think is a FEAT of Two-Weapon Fighting on the sheet. They do list Unarmed Strike below this, but I'm confused.
Monks don't get to go stab stab. They get to go stab punch. Yes? Why would the character sheet have a click through that lists an ability to go stab stab.
All characters can use two-weapon fighting. Only characters that take a feat or have a class ability that improves it can do it well. The entry on the character sheet is to remind people that they can wield two weapons.
Can you provide a link to where it's covered in the PHB? I can't seem to locate it. Dual Weilding yes, Two-Weapon, less so. I seem to have missed that chunk of knowledge.
When you take the Attack action and attack with a light melee weapon that you're holding in one hand, you can use a bonus action to attack with a different light melee weapon that you're holding in the other hand. You don't add your ability modifier to the damage of the bonus attack, unless that modifier is negative.
If either weapon has the thrown property, you can throw the weapon, instead of making a melee attack with it.

Many thanks for any clarifications, new GM.
Cheers.

Argh. Okay I don't know why the DnD beyond search didn't find two handed but I finally located the reference area.
So every character, every class, has the bonus action to stab stab if you're holding two lights. Yes?
Yes.
