In the Deflect Missiles description for the Monk, the final sentence reads:
You make this attack with proficiency, regardless of your weapon proficiencies, and the missile counts as a monk weapon for the attack, which has a normal range of 20 feet and a long range of 60 feet.
Deflect Missiles (p. 78). The final sentence now ends as follows: “… regardless of your weapon proficiencies, and the missile counts as a monk weapon for the attack.”
In the Shoving a Creature section, a double comma has been included in the final sentence:
If you succeed,, you either knock the target prone or push it 5 feet away from you.
These issues + the Imp issues are fixed. Thanks.
Except now the range (which was added in a previous errata) seems to have been removed from the Deflect Missiles feature description entirely...
Yeah, I am a bit confused about the range of Deflect Missiles. It must be removed or not?
Honestly, I think the wording of the errata might just be off in a few places. Might just need to compare the wording of the changed sections to what's in the latest physical books.
Hmmm, I went through the PHB errata and made the changes and in theory the way that the new errata document should be read is - the errata applies to the 5th edition of the Player's Handbook. Any errata with [New] next to it is a change from 6th edition to 10th edition. Any errata without the [New] tag is a change from 5th edition to 6th edition.
We'd already applied the 5th edition to 6th edition changes described here, so I just went through the ones labelled with [New].
What I now notice however is that the wording in the errata document, for previous errata, has changed.
For example, the Monk ability Deflect Missiles.
The 5th edition to 6th edition errata states:
Deflect Missiles (p. 78). The range of the monk’s ranged attack is 20/60 feet.
The latest 10th edition errata lists that same change as:
Deflect Missiles (p. 78). The final sentence now ends as follows: “… regardless of your weapon proficiencies, and the missile counts as a monk weapon for the attack.”
I'll see if we can get hold of a 10th edition Player's Handbook, to verify all errata and ensure they're correct.

Thanks! Yeah, I noticed that a bunch of the entries not marked as New did have different descriptions in the errata (e.g. the Martial Adept feat). Hopefully you guys can get that stuff cleared up.
I think that's a bug/error (i.e. they didn't account for the fact that each kind of instrument of the bards has its own separate listing in addition to the general one), and needs to be fixed.
Heads up, D&D Beyond staff: The basic rules have been updated on the WotC D&D website to version 1.0 (with the corresponding changes from the PHB errata), and it seems the Player's Basic Rules and DM's Basic Rules have been combined into one PDF (D&D Beyond's version was already combined into one).
You guys should go ahead and update the basic rules on here now :)
You guys should go ahead and update the basic rules on here now :)
Thanks for making sure we were aware! :)
Wizards of the Coast posted that a few days ago and I notified staff (who were probably already aware). As I understand it, staff need to discuss with WotC, as all updates to official rules on D&D Beyond need to be agreed between both parties. There's probably going to be a bit of a delay on that due to Thanksgiving weekend.

So I just saw that there's an... intriguing change. There are no feats now in the Basic Rules, at all. Grappler isn't there.

That's not a change. Feats were never in the basic rules; they're just in the SRD. (See Player's Basic Rules v3.4 for further proof.)

Huh. Well that's confusing as ****.

Do they call them editions or printings?

For the Errata, they call them editions. but they usually align the Errata editions to the Book print runs or printings. So interchangeable I guess.

Can you clarify where the changes will be shown on DnD Beyond?
For example the Instrument of the Bards already shows the change from the errata, but the Doss Lute doesn't.
