Please allow all races and classes to Add Feats (optional) at 1st level. Thank you! ^^
According to the latest Devs Livestream (aired last Friday), this is something that will be included in the impending character sheet overhaul, which should hit the live status in the next few weeks (no specific ETA).

Thank you! BTW, how often do the devs/DDB do live streams? Do they have scheduled events posted somewhere?
Darn! Looks like I just missed the last one. Thank you for the info!! Looking forward to seeing what you guys are working on. Keep up the great work! :)
Do I need to purchase the players handbook to unlock certain feats even if the content was shared with me from our campaign creator?
Please don’t necro threads. Hthis one is almost 2 years old! If content is being shared with you, any character you have in that campaign should have access to any feat that is owned by any member of the group. That doesn’t apply to your characters who are not in the campaign.
note: some feats have prerequisites. If your character doesn’t meet the prerequisites, you won’t see it as an option in the character sheet or builder. If you still have questions, please create a new thread.
DM had us do the Heroic Chronicles background stuff, I got a feat from that but can't add it yet, correct? I got the Magic Initiate feat so it would be really nice to have it. If anyone has a way for me to do this that would be amazing <3

On sheet, go to features and traits section, then feats tab, click Manage Feats. A sidebar opens showing feats, go to the Magic Initiate feat you want, click the button to add it, click the little arrow to expand, make your selections for the cantrips and spell, and you're done.
Glad to help ^_^

So I just bought the player's handbook (through DND beyond) so I could finish creating my level 3 Wood elf Rogue character.
Are adding feats still broken? Even if you bought the PH?

thank you
My DM wants us to get an additional feat at 5th level but I don't see that as an option. Is it? If so, where?
In the features and traits section of the character sheet, scroll to the bottom and click on “manage feats” you can add feats from there.

Your post is 38. I already detailed how to add feats in post 36.
I understand not wanting to read through the entire thread, but surely you can at least give a quick read to the page you're on?
