so I made a Hill Dwarf Sorcerer named Carnan Frostbeard and took the listed background for my Dwarf. The languages he now knows are Common, Dwarvish, Draconic, and Dwarvish I noticed a little issue there I don't think he needs to know the same language twice does he?

still broken, the clan craftier language is dworvish, or if you already know it it should allow you to choose another one. is there a work around that they can add another one, or that i can add one as there dm?
then select Clan Crafter as the background to copy
at the bottom, there is a section for languages: change the language to what your player wants
enable homebrew content on your player character
change their background to your version
Thanks for the workaround suggestion. However, I would really like to see this addressed properly.

That comment would make sense if I was a moderator and not just another customer responding to a request for a workaround.
My bad, I didn't realize that the workaround was requested. Good on you for helping out. Either way, though, I'd like to see this fixed. :-D

Hello! The original poster's issue with Dwarvish being presented on the character sheet twice was resolved. (Languages Common, Dwarvish, Draconic, Dwarvish now show correctly as Common, Dwarvish, Draconic)
The continued experience other users are reporting in this thread appear to be related to not selecting a language in place of Dwarvish for the Clan Crafter background. Please note that the rules for backgrounds do not offer this as an option if you would learn the same language from multiple sources.
In contrast, the rules specifically state that skill and tool proficiencies that are duplicated can offer an alternate choice.
You can find this information in the Backgrounds chapter of the Basic Rules, or Players Handbook.
Proficiencies
Each background gives a character proficiency in two skills. Skills are described in the Using Ability Scores section.
In addition, most backgrounds give a character proficiency with one or more tools. Tools and tool proficiencies are detailed in the Equipment section.
If a character would gain the same proficiency from two different sources, he or she can choose a different proficiency of the same kind (skill or tool) instead.
Additional Languages
Some backgrounds also allow characters to learn additional languages beyond those given by race. See “Languages” earlier in this section.
@MellieDM - The text for Clan Crafter states, "Languages: Dwarvish or one other of your choice if you already speak Dwarvish". Clan Crafter specifically should allow for an additional language if you already know Dwarvish.
EDIT: I'll make another thread for this since the poster's original issue was resolved. New Thread Here.

You have to speak with a super-dwarvish accent now.

for a workaround, make a homebrew background:
https://www.dndbeyond.com/homebrew/creations
Create a... | Background
then select Clan Crafter as the background to copy
at the bottom, there is a section for languages: change the language to what your player wants
enable homebrew content on your player character
change their background to your version
