I was messing around with a level 1 Wizard with low INT and decided to multiclass into Barbarian at level 2 (yes, totally an RP build). DDB allowed this, but on closer reading of the PHB multiclassing prerequisites, it says:
"To qualify for a new class, you must meet the ability score prerequisites for both your current class and your new one, as shown in the Multiclassing Prerequisites table."
Since my wizard only had an INT of 9, he shouldn't have been able to multiclass at all. I suspect this lack of original class prereq checking exists for all the starting classes.

This confused me as well. I did a random generated character, and it gave me a bunch of classes I didn't meet the prerequisite.
