Compared to the phb looks like some of the spells are missing for some classes
Thank you for your post - we appreciate people taking the time to give us feedback.
During the beta test of D&D Beyond, we'll only be including content that is freely available from Wizards of the Coast, including the D&D 5th edition SRD , D&D 5th edition Basic Rules, Elemental Evil Companion and potentially others. The beta will not include additional content from a Commercially Released Book, Module or Supplement.
All of the remaining published content from the PHB, DMG, MM and other D&D 5th edition books will be added to D&D Beyond for product release - the cost for accessing this material has not yet been announced.
This may have already been asked, but I don't feel like reading through 21 pages to find out, lol
Would it be possible to add a search field to the Advanced Search that allows you to filter based on the number of targets a spell has (i.e. single target, multi target, area of effect, etc.)? I was looking for good Twin Spell spells and realized there was no easy way to reduce my number of results.

Just because you arbitrarily assign some sort of significance to the bodies of your dead doesn't make me not hungry.
The ability to sort by any parameter is awesome, but it might be good if, by default, the spells are sorted by level rather than name. I know I imagine them by level because that's how the class lists are written in the PHB, and others might be the same. Perhaps this could be a saveable preference?
If I do a global search for "ray of sickness" I get results that include a short form list of the spell details. When I click on that, it directs me to https://www.dndbeyond.com/spells/ray-of-sickness but that page politely tells me that access is forbidden.
this is intentional - the search function will show results from all Wizards of the Coast publications that have been loaded onto D&D Beyond.

This means, though you can see them, you'll get a 403 error if you click on them. Ultimately, I believe this will be replaced with a more friendly message, telling you why you can't view that page.
You are missing the second level Wizard spell Crown of Madness. it is in the PHB on page 229. I didn't see it listed

I'm really sorry if this was mentioned, I did look I promise!
I don't see a good way to sort out Cleric domains, which would be very handy indeed. I expanded advanced search and didn't see it there, but there's a good chance I'm just missing it.
Thanks! (and I mean THANKS FOR MAKING THIS AWESOME TOOL!)
Beast sense and dissonant whispers are missing. May be missing other spells but those are the two I have noticed so far.
For the beta, only the rules and options provided in the D&D 5th edition SRD , D&D 5th edition Basic Rules, Elemental Evil Companion are available in Beyond. Once the full platform launches later this summer, the core rule books and others will be available for purchase, and the content within will be available for those that purchase, or have access through a DM's subscription.
So, a way to sort spells by adds or popularity? Some way to better ensure homebrew balance and credibility. Also, a way to comment on spells and items and so on. A comment/discussion thread linked directly in the spell description will help hardcore gamers discuss homebrew viability/balance in play. Also... Weekly staff picks? Would love to see the homebrew spells and content that the Wizards staff really think is awesome or fun.

On Snilloc's(so?) Snowball Swarm spell description, the 'at higher levels' type isn't bold like that phrase on the other spell descriptions

Please see the post above yours for an explanation as to why that spell is not in the tools at this time.

Right now, since the beta only includes Basic Rules (SRD), only one cleric domain is available.

Thank you! Didn't realize the other domains were outside of SRD. Thanks again!

This might be a stupid question and I'm sorry if it is but I was wondering why I couldn't see or add the spell ensnaring strike to my character?
