Did you buy the Legendary Bundle with the impression that you would get a 15% discount on all future products in DDB? And if you haven't yet bought it, is the impression you have as part of your decision to purchase it, that you will get that discount on all future products?
Because I have some bad news for everyone: it doesn't. The new Tactical Maps Reincarnated apparently constitute content that isn't digital.

The new Tactical Maps Reincarnated apparently constitute content that isn't digital.
As I shared with you on Discord, the new map pack is not a book or adventure - which we have categorized as digital content - and is not included in the Legendary Bundle or it's discount. The only type of products we have offered to purchase up to this point have been in this category, and the intent has always been (and will continue to be) to include those products in the Legendary Bundle.
The map pack is obviously digital, but it is the first product in a new category that we call digital maps. When looking at the type of product it is, one can reasonably see that it is widely divergent from any of the other products in the digital content category.
Another way to think about this is "Would the majority of the community be happy if this map pack - and the several others we are likely to introduce - were included in the Legendary Bundle therefore upping its price?" The answer in all of our research was "no." We decided to make a separate category, and we are likely to see additional types of bundles in the future - including a digital maps-based bundle. We will also likely see other product categories emerge, whether that's theme customization elements, audio/ sounds, or other visual assets. There is no way those would make any sense to include in the spirit and intent of the Legendary Bundle, and the digital maps category didn't either for us. Especially with the number of new product offerings expanding majorly through the next couple of years.
I'm sorry if you feel unsatisfied with this reasoning, but this path will ensure that the Legendary Bundle remains as affordable and compelling as it is now for the future. Feel free to contact support if you would like a refund on the new map pack.
All of this is irrelevant. The LB was sold on the basis of it granting a permanent discount to all future products. There was no distinction made in it to indicate any intent that it would only apply to a certain category of product. That is false and misleading advertising. Coming along after the fact and changing definitions of what is included is, quite frankly, underhanded. Ask yourself this: would the FTC agree with me, or you?

Yes there was. The wording for the original Legendary Bundle (and all iterations since) was chosen intentionally to say "digital content products" instead of "all products," because we have had a decades-long plan since the beginning for D&D Beyond and knew that we would be selling other products beyond that scope in the future.
We changed some of the product description text today to further clarify what the digital content category is versus the digital map category because today is the first day that the digital map category has public existence - we could not have made the distinction before today and made any sense to the community.
Again, I am sorry if you feel unsatisfied with this and our support team will be happy to work with you to provide a refund for the new map pack.
And you genuinely don't think that anyone reading that would reasonably expect that to mean all future products... on a website? Again, who do you think the FTC would agree with in this situation? Perhaps you should be talking to a lawyer before you answer?

Regardless of any perceived due discounts, the short answer is: The maps are not bundled into the legendary bundle and therefore the discount doesnt apply to them.

Dude, you are splitting hairs here...
The maps are a new type of digital good, not included in the Legendary Bundle right because they are not part of what the Legendary Bundle is meant to be.
Curse is perfectly its right to make such a choice, and I am pretty confident the Terms of Sale (that you and everyone else agreed to) cover this as well.
Now, I understand the surprise and, to an extent, the frustration, but I honestly find your reaction a bit disproportionate (aside from the veiled threats).
Digital map packs have been a nice and welcome surprise, itsi not like you absolutely need them to play or you would be depriving yourself/your players of some awesome addition that can't be made up for otherwise.
I understand your outrage is on the concept and not on the item itself, but, again, it seems disproportionate given the circumstances.
Should Curse do this with an official rule supplement or adventure, I would be right there with you, but I am confident they will not.

Frankly, if Curse had done this to a WotC published map book, I would have taken some issue with it, but they didn't. [Edit] Retracted.
Maybe in the future there will be a second bundle for map books that offers a 15% discount on future map books as well. (*wink* *wink* curse marketing team)

Not 100% sure what you mean... The Dungeon Tiles Reincarnated are very much a WotC published product, they are just not a book, which to me makes senses to not qualify them for the Legendary Bundle, but as a separate product.
Now, if it was a book with maps AND descriptions/adventure hooks/pre-made encounters, that would be a different story, but this is just a visual aid, no more, no less.

I- Uh- Yeah, I meant book. I was thinking this was a D&D Beyond original product, I may be mistaken.
I think a big point BadEye made though that the OP has not recognised is also the legendary bundle is great for players and DMs but not everyone will use a digital map pack especially if they play with minis. Everything added to the bundle raises its price by the products price and it would be super unfair if nice little additions that are not the books we need to play the game were included raising the price and making the bundle less accessable to future buyers.
Especially with the wealth of books it looks like we are getting this year.
So to be honest, I did think that the legendary pack gave me 15% off all "digital content products". Which I would have thought would include the digital maps at first. I still think that you should find better wording, digital maps and digital content to me seem like they would fall under digital content products.
Now am I upset this is the path they have taken no. But I would highly suggest the DDB Team find a better phrasing than digital content products because though I don't think anyone would actually sue them (even as much as this guy is upset) that would be a rather tricky situation (However, I am sure DDB lawyers reviewed and approved it).
In short... Look at new phrasing for the Legendary Bundle Discount to make it clear that it effects "books or adventures" and not all digital content products. It is not clear to your users, not all of us are going to get as upset as others, but to be honest I was a little disappointed and felt mislead by the wording.
I never would have dreamed that DDB would offer these maps. They are not reading material, and they don't impact the character builder or homebrew sections. They've not offered digitized versions of other mapping products like the reincarnated tiles that were released a while ago. These are utterly different from the other things DDB has sold here. They are a download whereas everything else on the website is used on the site. As a face-to-face player, digital maps have little use for me, so BadEye and the team's decision to not include it in the Legendary Bundle made perfect sense to me. I don't get the backlash for offering a product that people didn't have access to before. It would add between 10-15 USD to the price of the Legendary Bundle for EVERYONE, or the same price to just the people who want it. If 15% of 15 USD is breaking you, that's unfortunate. And if it's the principle of the thing, I think you're being inflexibly pedantic.
Ah man... wait until DnDBeyond.com releases VTT stuff :P. Then it becomes even gray-er. Digital Content... it will be whatever DnDBeyond defines it to be. I think to the layman it just means "stuff we'll never ever mail to you nor should you expect a physical version" :P. The rest is non-digital content :P (ie if they start selling merch that is mailed to you).

Will discount codes at least work on the map packs?
We have different types of discount codes, so there's no one answer to that.
I am confident codes that apply to digital map products will be available in the future.
