Currently testing out every level of the Artificer. Thanks for adding Turrets and Alchemical being to the creatures tab by the way.
So far, my primary issue comes from the level 6 feature of the Artificer, the Wand Prototype.
At first glance I would've thought it'd be treated the same as spells learned from feats having somewhere to choose the cantrip to learn. However no option was given for this.
Then I figured that maybe it must've been added as simply increasing the number of learnable cantrips by mistake, but no go.
Then I thought that an item must've been created, it being a wand and all that, which upon using gave the player the chosen cantrip. Once again, nope.
Figuring that this was an oversight which would be fixed in the future, I proceeded to the spells tab in order to manually add the cantrip as you would for feats in the feats tab. I was surprised that this was also not possible...
Lacking any further ideas, I simply decided to keep a tab of the wand as a custom item for the time being and manually realize this function. I also decided to write this post in feedbacks to ensure that this issue was reported, if it was or there is something I missed about this feature, I apologize in advance.
You can make the wand as a magical item and simply put cantrips on it and change as needed. As worded, I would recommend taking Acid Splash because the bonus damage is added to the damage of both targets.

We're planning to add a full feature for the Wand Prototype, that will allow selection of the cantrip(s) and appropriate display of the cantrip(s) chose, including the bonus damage where relevant.
This needs some additional work and it was considered the release of the Artificer class shouldn't be delayed for this.
Overall, we'd love to have had this sorted in time for when we made artificer available, but it just wasn't possible.

It'll be sorted fairly soon! :)
Alright! Thank you very much for the response! I'll just eagerly await as planned.
Considering the official artificer hasn't been released yet, they're not likely going to expend resources adding a feature that may change with the official release.

No disrespect, but has there been an update to this?
