Can we please have a change to the way that items which have once per day spells are implemented?
eg - an instrument of the bards (grr - was going to link an instrument, then remembered you can only link SRD items in forums) has seven spells that can each be cast once per day. However, the way it is implemented is that it has seven charges that can be utlilised however you want, implying that you can cast the same spell seven times.
Is is possible that an option for these types of items to have spells applied to the similar to how racial spells are applied (eg Drow magic gives one at-will cantrip and two once per rest spells) that have a Use/Used toggle. This would make it easier if an in-game day is split between multiple real life sessions - otherwise there is no way (without re-inventing the wheel by making a note of what spells you have used either in hard copy or in the notes field) of keeping a track of which spells have been used.
You can link non-SRD content using the tooltips, people who don't have access will see a message that it's purchasable content - Cli Lyre.
As for the way it displays on the Character sheet, I'm marking this as a bug - will need to check how it's been setup, as it should have the ability to display like racial feats.
Update: Both filcat and I have had a play around to see if there was an easy way to fix this. Unfortunately, the way the editor works with multiple spells and charges is how it currently displays. I'll pass this onto staff to see if they are able to think up any work arounds, but for now a player would need to note down which spells they have used manually.

Ah- my mistake with the linky - I was trying item rather than magicitem so Cli Lyre should work whereas [ item]cli lyre[/ item] does not
If the charges, that an item has, can be ticked and unticked in any order, instead of being crossed off from left to right, then players could keep track of which spells they have cast more easily. E.g. A player could click on the second box, leaving the first box uncrossed, to indicate that they have only used the second spell on the list (Cure Wounds).
Can add it to the thread to get the question in, however I believe these sorts of issues wont be addressed until after the character sheet revamp goes live.
A temporary solution that I have come up with is creating a homebrew feat with the same name as the magic item. I first tried to add the feat itself to the magic item as a property, but it looks like dndbeyond doesn't allow that yet. So I just made a note in the feat that you have to be attuned to the magic item for the feat to work. So instead of one magic item with single user per day spells, I have a magic item and a feat that lets me only use each spell once per day.
Is there a way to count charges on an item? Example is med kit which has 10 charges... I'd love to just track this in the app instead of a piece of paper...
Any updates on this? It would be super to be able to designate for a magic item that certain spells can only be cast once per long/short rest, rather than charges.

How to add Tooltips
Don't worry - I always get item and magicitem tags mixed up as well. :)

How about this for a semi-solution:
If the charges, that an item has, can be ticked and unticked in any order, instead of being crossed off from left to right, then players could keep track of which spells they have cast more easily. E.g. A player could click on the second box, leaving the first box uncrossed, to indicate that they have only used the second spell on the list (Cure Wounds).
Sorce - any chance of an update on this one? Or should I raise it in the Dev update thread for possible inclusion next week?

Gods, it's been over four years and still our cries go unanswered...
Okay, maybe that was a bit dramatic, but there's still no way to get a "once/day" setting on magic items with multiple spells?
still waiting for this feature whats up?
