Looks good... only had a few minutes to take a peek, but my first inclination would be that your class / racial abilities could be expanded on.
I.E. I made a random character that came up with a Lvl 10 Cleric/Ranger/Sorcerer I get the following list: (sorry so long)
Sorcerer: - Draconic Resilience - Dragon Ancestor - Hit Points - Proficiencies - Sorcerous Origin - Spellcasting - Sorcery Points Cleric: - Bonus Proficiency - Disciple of Life - Divine Domain - Hit Points - Proficiencies - Spellcasting - Channel Divinity - Channel Divinity: Preserve Life Ranger: - Favored Enemy - Hit Points - Natural Explorer - Proficiencies - Fighting Style - Spellcasting - Hunter’s Prey - Primeval Awareness - Ranger Archetype - Ability Score Improvement - Extra Attack Racial Traits: - Darkvision - Keen Senses - Fey Ancestry - Trance - Elf Weapon Training - Mask of the Wild
I'd really like the descriptions as well.
Some of these aren't needed (spellcasting / proficiencies / hit points, etc)
But Disciple of life... kind of important to know what it does "Also starting at 1st level, your healing spells are more effective. Whenever you use a spell of 1st level or higher to restore hit points to a creature, the creature regains additional hit points equal to 2 + the spell’s level."
Could be abbreviated somehow. We all have out favorite sheets, and one of the reasons I like some of them is when I enter a class feature, racial trait, feat, etc.. it autofills some good info for me.
This would be HUGE help to beginning players. And would cut down on the amount of editing needed to get the sheet to be in a workable format for the table.
That might be on purpose, so you can't create a character sheet and share it with people who don't use the site. It could also be a licensing issue. I'm not sure, but I'm sure there are some legal issues to expand. Besides, that would get super full super fast, based on just a level 10 alone, much less higher level characters.
Personally, I like it, because I'd like to be able to publically share interesting character builds on my website without any legal repercussions, and including descriptions may intefere with that. I can delete that information before I post it, so it may not harm things in the long run if they were to add some descriptions, but that's why I'm okay with them not including them.
Speaking of which. BadEye, would there be any limitations on posting character sheets generated from here on to other websites? I'd love to start doing it, but I certainly don't want to run into any problems.
No issues with character sharing in other places. We will actually add the ability to do that more easily via social platforms in the near future too.

Awesome! Thanks for the info! I know I sound like a gushing fanboy to a number of people, but you guys go above and beyond, which I really appreciate.
Edit: I know this is asking a lot, but are you guys going to offer a duplicate function? Like, I may want to keep my favorites at level 1, and duplicate for actual gameplay, or if we do share our characters on social media, maybe other players will want to use the ones we've created.
Yeah. It's interesting. It's one particular character that jumps to for Forbidden. I created a random character with same race, class and level and it worked fine.
I'll happily share a link to the character . . . but I don't know how to do that? Just the url?

Ok see that character sheet Export is available. Altough think using standard D&D sheet is not the way to go. That format is unwieldy. For examply my character as more equipment than fits in box. so half of it does not show on sheet. And yeah pitty you do not see descriptions. or easy way to print description.
Yea this is where I'm having problems. I can view the pdf's of my characters, as long as they aren't part of a campaign. My one character that is part of a campaign is not viewable by me. Not sure if it was intended that only a dm can create pdf's of campaigned(?) players?
OK, thanks for that info. We'll get a patch out for that tomorrow morning!

Going to be very hard to list full descriptions for class features in the space that's provided in the PDF. Those other "favorite" sheets have different layouts that allow for expanded descriptions.
We will offer other types of formats in the future and we will certainly look for ways to get more information that would be useful into the export.
Thanks!
Versions of the character sheet that had summaries of features would be great.
Or even just an extra page that has feature descriptions would also be great. Hero Lab does that (has an extra page where you can print out features) and that is very convenient. Definitely quicker than flipping through the book to find them.

It would make sense to omit many of those that are represented elsewhere: Hit Points, Proficiencies, and Spellcasting, for example, should all be listed elsewhere. Also, if you're not going to create abbreviated descriptions of the remaining features, listing a Manual and page as a source would be helpful for someone sitting at a table. But some kind of brief description would be best.
To that end, can I suggest recruiting the community to help create this content? Give a character lengthy, and ask folks to post abbreviated descriptions of each feature to fit that length, and the shorter the better.

Gah! That's it. That character is part of a campaign. I'd forgotten I'd done that as a test.
Sorry for the extra posts. Looking forward to the fix.

BadEye -- Thanks for the response! We are very much an old school group (even with some teens at the table!). I use a monitor / laptop for maps, pictures, sounds, etc. And I will use DDB for my campaign stuff there to, as well as rules research while playing.
For my players it is all about the character sheets. They don't all have devices to use DDB while playing so a good character sheet with as much info as possible is essential to them. It will also be the biggest factor in them using DDB to create their characters and have them in the campaign.
I can't speak for everyone, but 3-4 page character sheet is pretty common at our table.
Anyways, thanks again to you and all of your time for your hard work. I look forward to launch (and hope it goes smoothly for you guys!) and look forward to where this is all going!

It would only make sense to have the first character sheet option available be the official WotC character sheet. :D
Looking forward to other formats . to be honest 5 e paper version was never good. Dnd insider 4 e character builder did it quite well. did you have a look how it did it? Simmilar setup would be perfect. It allowed for printing of character sheet . included all spells a character add or item powers, feats etc. + allowed you to print rituals separately if you had them.
Main reason for me to subscribe would eb character builder + easy way to print. Had expected at least same functions as dndinsider character builder had. Then it would be a no brainer for me. If you need an example still have a few as pdf. As it stands now may was well fill them by hand. Had expected much more.

I'm not sure if it's just my low perception score, and I can't find it, but it doesn't seem there is a way to change from one of the portraits to one of my own images.

When it gets to the end of character creation, can that be followed by a section where you are shown the starting equipment for your class &/ background and asked if you'd like take that and quickly pick between the options? I.e Shortsword/Any Simple weapon or explorers pack/dungeoneers pack, and auto adds the other items OR instead use starting gold to purchase custom choice starting equipment? . Rather than having to remember what's included as starting equipment and searching it in the equipment section to add individually?
Let me know if i'm missing something and this is already a feature!
