"then i suggest that we get into the cave first. If we find the explosives, we can hide them... or we can collapse the cave on them to destroy them - and bury the monsters in the cave."
Dark Sight moves to follow North unquestioningly, but does offer the information he had gathered and recalled as the group begins to move:
"I am with you, but I do need to share ... two things with you." he says choppily, attempting to keep pace with his larger companions and project his voice from his tiny gnome lungs, "That tiefling that attacked you, I think he was an Asmodeus acolyte.... and that cave, is full of explosives... I'm not sure of his exact plans, but in my past experience, radical groups who brandish their own justice.... who are in search of large quantities of explosives.... never tend to end well for those who do not agree with them."
North nods. "I know of these gems, and of this acolyte. The bastard has been around the town for a few years. He's never done anything illegal. He's always been passive. This doesn't seem like something he would do."
"Well, the guards were denying him access to the cave. If something forced the group he is in to advance their plans, he would do anything to reach that cave."

"The guards deny access to anyone without permission, elf. You should know, you were clearly there trying to get to the cave as well."
"Yes, but if the plans were moved up, he would be very angry if the guards denied him permission, and the fact that after he knocked out one of the guards, the other guard and i confronted him, would have made him even more upset, and desperate to get to the cave, whatever and whoever might be blocking him."

"Did he act angry or hostile at all before he attacked?" North asks, continuing to walk quickly through the town.
"actually, he did not act particularly angry, but when i confronted him about attacking the guard, he said something about us having been'in his way', so i think that he was urgent to get to the cave."

"That doesn't sound like him..." North shakes his head, continuing to walk through the town.
"well, whether or not it is the same person, we should get the crystals out of the cave, or destroy them. We definitely want such a potent force under control. by the way, where are we headed?"

Just as you ask that question, he reaches the gate. He turns to a guard that you didn't see. "Double the guard at this entrance." He tells the guard, who salutes and runs off. He leads you through the gate, and starts walking down a side path.
"You seem to know more than you've shared with the townsfolk. Care to share what else you know, so that we know what we're getting into?" Inquires the gnome, with a critical tone.

"Nothing Shawn or I haven't already told you." North responds.

"has anyone actually seen his face? of not, what if we are dealing with someone else entirely?" i try to figure out where we are going.
North mutters something under his breath.
Gus follows North DeRolo and his fellow adventurerers

"Any info about the creatures in the cave?"
