Marisa blinks as she sees Beautiful already on his way back. She shakes her head for a moment but decides to say nothing to the man. It didn't seem like he was going to say much to her anyway. As she took a step forward she heard Bowme speak, a soft smile overtook her features as she cantered her head to the side.
"What are Tims?" She couldn't help but inquire. The name didn't ring a bell. If anything it sounded like a person's name. But she doubted that was correct. As he continued to speak she nodded once more. "Oh yeah, something about this place..." As she spoke she swore she could see her own breath as a chill shot through her spine. Her arms came up as she wrapped them around herself for a quick moment of warmth.
As she speaks she makes her way back to the fire as well, though she keeps her pace with Bowme taking solace that she was actually having a conversation with someone. All the while she couldn't help but scan the area around her. This thick dense fog. Something about it. It worried her. She didn't know for a fact but she swore something was out there.
Desmond looks at the fog and then the fire pit. " Hey does anyone here want to listen to a scary story?" Desmond this was a perfect time because they are camping, its foggy and it's scary " we got the atmosphere and the scary fog all we are missing is some food maybe, so who wants to tell the first story?"
Charles awakes at the sound of footsteps nearing the camp, grabs his trusty longsword ready to do battle with whatever or whoever is entering, but it is his new found allies returning to the fire, he realises there will be no battle tonight. He then turns to Desmond "what did you say about a story? I haven't heard a scary story since I was a boy back on the farm, do you know any good ones?"
With everyone back at the camp the night is in full and adventurers get their rest though the evil presence remains. In the morning the fog is still thick in the air yet it was not as oppressing as the night before. As each of the companions wake they notice something is different. The trees seem…older, deader, and different. The fire from the night before is gone, vanished from the place, as if it had never been. Now the fog has covered all directions, except for a road that leads west and east.

Bowme, sensing the tension in Beautiful's voice, he says in response "I'm sorry aboot that bud. I'm sure we'll find more. Maybe a swig from my flask will help ya out?"
After hearing Marissa ask what a Tims is, his jaw drops. His face is in awww and he responds in a cheery voice "You've never heard of Tim Horton? You are missing out. On one of my adventures, I woke up randomly in a small town. So I staggered into the local inn and had the BEST coffee. Tim owned the joint. He's a swell guy as well and brews a great ale. Legend has it, he once time fought off a pack of wolves with his bare hands.... We should stop there on an adventure some time."
Elias stands thoughtfully in the middle of the road, the oppressing fog wearing upon his mind, and tries to remember which direction he had been heading yesterday. Do to some misfortune, be it a distracted mind from a night of trying to shut out his new companions antics or some added affect of this accursed fog, Elias found himself unable to recall which direction he entered the woods by. With the fog so thick as to block the suns morning light Elias could only guess which way the road might take him. He considered questioning his companions as to whether they might know, but Elias had always found that when one is among new people it is best to prove yourself capable. So he he sat in the middle of the road and called out to the spirits of the world which connect all things. He asked for guidance and clarity, but found the woods silent and unresponsive as if they had been driven from their home by the fog in the night. He stood greatly disturbed by how empty the woods aura felt. Nothing seemed to be alive beyond their little camp as if all life had been smothered by the mists cold dark grip. Elias shivered at the implications.
One does not simply bow so easily to the will of evil, however, so Elias strode into the woods careful not to loose sight of his companions and searched for signs of fern on the trees. He found a large patch on an old oak tree its leaves a mixture of red, orange and brown. The humidity of the fog clung to them pulling them toward the ground making the once proud tree droop and bend as if in submission to some foreign invader for that is what Elias felt this fog must be. Still the fern's location on the tree told him which direction was North and from that he could line out which way was East or West. With this information he rejoined his new companions and set about the task of convincing them to head West. Elias believed West, even if it was the direction they had come from, held the best chance for survival for it meant heading toward the rising sun.
"My friends if I could have you're attention please?" Elias rasped finding his voice shaky after a night without use. "It would appear that some evil force has set its will against us this day. I am sure you have all felt how empty this forest has become in the span of a night. How silent it is. The wildlife either drowned in the fog or fled feeling the impending doom. Either way it is clear we dare not stay much longer in these woods. I have been able to gather my bearings despite the fog and know that if we head down the left of the path it will lead us West and the right to East. My mind and heart tell me we should set of West toward the rising sun that its rays and light might find us soon and that we not tarry in this forest any moment longer than we have too." Elias breathed and waited for a response.
Marisa forced something of a smile as Bowme spoke to her.
What was this man saying?
She truly didn't believe a word he spoke, but, she didn't want to be rude. She simply nodded her head as she was taught and kept that smile plastered between her cheeks.
"Ah well that sounds...lovely." She chuckled as the two made their way back to the camp, once there she gave everyone a once over before retiring for the night as well. Little did she know everything was going to change upon the rising sun.
And change it did, there was a darkness to the air. A staleness, something was very wrong. The girl felt it in her bones.
"What's going on?" She spoke to no one in particular as she rubbed her hazel eyes. Those fiery locks fell over the left side of her face once more as she craned her neck to the right, she couldn't help but smirk as she felt the bones crack.
"Hey...what are you doing?" This time she spoke to Elias as she stood to her feet. Not wanting to waste a moment she walked towards him, her steps slow and simple. She couldn't help but take in the woods around her. Everywhere she looked was just shrouded in a dense fog.
"...Evil force?" She found herself taking in a deep breath. She couldn't believe what she was hearing. She wanted to block it out, ignore it. Act like she never heard it. But pretending it didn't exist wouldn't get her anywhere in this world. "Umm..." She sucked in her lower lip as she began to nibble at it.
"West?" Her eyes widened as she pushed a slender finger through her hair before tucking it behind her ear. "I can't say I'm good with directions." She muttered but masked it by a chuckle. "That sounds good to me though?" Her statement sounded more like a question than anything else. Of course she wasn't sure of the best course of action but she also didn't want to ruffle any feathers.
"What about everyone else?" The young woman inquired as she turned over her shoulder as she dug her heel into the ground below to help her properly pivot.
Beautiful asks Elias..."How do YOU know what your heart (as he pounds on his chest) and mind (tapping on his skull) are saying? Mine don't talk to me. Mine just goes dadum dadum dadum. Sometimes fast, sometimes slow.
"I will go with you if you are going to the Sun for the Sun is mighty and gives me strength."
Bowme hears Elias speak and comes out of his meditation. The chill along his spine is present as he listens contently. He responds "Oh fersure! I am definitely getting some bad vibes in here."
Realizing the uncertainty in Marissa's voice he looks at her and says in a calming tone "Don't worry friend, if we stick together we can overcome it."
After hearing Beautiful speak, he puts his hand on his forehead and smirks to himself thinking What a simple mind that man has. Then stands up and in an encouraging tone says to the group "Come'on boys, lets get a goin. Times a wastin eh." and waits for the group to follow him.
Desmond looked to Draycor and smiled" You have my sword my friend " Desmond did not have many friends in the Underdark because some of them wanted to kill him. " I am glad to have you at my side"
Beautiful's face is twisted with a look of agony as his companions begin offering up their weapons... He brings his back to his body and holds it more tightly.
Charles places his had on his friends arm, "it is ok my friend you can keep your weapon, I won't let them take it from you. Now, what shale we do while we wait or all we moving forwar"?
Draycor addressing Charles: "As my mentor Rothor always said: 'War is always on the horizon' but let us be cautious. We need to discover what power brought us to this strange realm. It would be unwise to charge in blindly.....that is if there was a place to charge into. We need to figure out where we are."
Desmond looks to Draycor " I should count my blessings, I was sent here by my house" he looks down a little." Me and my house never saw eye to eye sometimes but do I hate them for sending me here. Not yet maybe when I return home"
Looking at the group in front of him, Bowme says "You adventuring types are all the same... Back in my younger years, I once traveled across the country side searching for Lord Stanleys Cup. Long story short we never found the damn thing and everyone in our group turned on each other. One night during a full moon, while we were all sleeping, a savage animal came through and killed them all. That was a sad day, even though we didn't see eye to eye, I still considered them friends... But on a much more positive note, lets just all promise to have each others back on this adventure. Hows that sounds boys?"
*Pulls flask out of knapsack and lifts it up to the air for a couple seconds and then makes an offering signal to the group* "Anyone one want a swig before we move on?"

Draycor stared intently at the dying flames. The night was slowly closing in around the group.
"A story would be most welcome," he said. He needed a distraction.

Desmond looks to to see what the North and South of the lead too and wonders why this fog just appeared.

Charles looks at his friend "yes my friend the Sun give us strength and it is by Pelor's gift that Melora and her creations can grow".
"You have my bow, friends! Let us go forth," Draycor exclaimed. He was glad to have companions while confronting these troubling circumstances.
Beautiful exclaims "you can keep your bow. I have no need for such a tiny weapon.".
Beautiful holds up his gleaming weapon in the fog light
