Alright - lets give this a go - never run a rogue before - let along a homebrewed hacker variation (hehe) as always subject to approval and will make changes as needed to fit the narrative.
"Booster" Reynolds - Variant Human Hacker (rogue) Level 3
AC:14 / Init:+8 / Mov 30 ft. / Size: Medium / Att: +5 / Damage: 1d8+3
(I used your standard array + racial bonuses) STR 6 DEX 17 CON 13 INT 10 WIS 16 CHA 12
◆ Expertise (Rogue 1, PHB 96) [with two skills] I gain expertise with two skills/thieves' tools I am proficient with; two more at 6th level ◆ Sneak Attack (Rogue 1, PHB 96) [1d6] Once per turn, I can add damage to finesse/ranged attack if I have adv. I don't need adv. if a conscious ally is within 5 ft of the target and I don't have disadv. ◆ Thieves' Cant (Rogue 1, PHB 96) I know the secret rogue language that I can use to convey messages inconspicuously ◆ Cunning Action (Rogue 2, PHB 96) I can use a bonus action to take the Dash, Disengage, or Hide action
Hacker Starting at 3rd level, you are proficient with the Hacker's Toolset, you now speak Electyr in addition to Thieves' Cant.
Combat Phone When you choose this archetype at 3rd level, you gain access to a special phone you designed for thieving use. Your phone allows for remote hacking within forty feet of the hacked terminal. Also, you may use your dexterity or intelligence to make thieves' tools checks and on computer checks.
Background: [taken from the Urban Bounty Hunter background but instead of hunting people, its more like hunting data or information?]
Your life was already full of conflict and excitement, because you made a living tracking down people for pay. Unlike some people who collect bounties, though, you aren't a savage who follows quarry into or through the wilderness. You're involved in a lucrative trade, in the place where you live, that routinely tests your skills and survival instincts. What's more, you aren't alone, you routinely interact with both the criminal subculture and other hackers, maintaining contacts in both areas to help you succeed. You might be a cunning thief-catcher, prowling the rooftops to catch one of the myriad burglars of the city. Perhaps you are someone who has your ear to the street, aware of the doings of thieves' guilds and street gangs. You might be a "velvet mask" hacker, one who blends in with high society and noble circles in order to catch the criminals that prey on the rich, whether pickpockets or con artists. The community where you plied your trade might have been one of this worlds great metropolises, or a less populous location, that's large enough to have a steady supply of potential quarries. As a member of an adventuring party, you might find it more difficult to pursue a personal agenda that doesn't fit with the group's objectives- but on the other hand, you can take down much more formidable targets with the help of your companions.
Darkvision- You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Fey Ancesty- You have advantage on saving throws against being charmed, and magic can't put you to sleep.
Draconic Bloodline
Dragon Ancestor- (Bronze) You can speak, read, and write Draconic. Additionally, whenever you make a Charisma check when interacting with dragons, your proficiency bonus is doubled if it applies to the check.
Draconic Resistance- At 1st level, your hit point maximum increases by 1 and increases by 1 again whenever you gain a level in this class. Additionally, parts of your skin are covered by a thin sheen of dragon-Iike scales. When you aren't wearing armor, your AC equals 13 + your Dexterity modifier.
Font of Magic
Metamagic
Twinned Spell- When you cast a spell that targets only one creature and doesn't have a range of self, you can spend a number of sorcery points equal to the spell's level to target a second creature in range with the same spell (1 sorcery point if the spell is a cantrip).
Quickened Spell- When you cast a spell that has a casting time of 1 action, you can spend 2 sorcery points to change the casting time to 1 bonus action for this casting.
Xen was always one to have a steady hand and a mind for mechanics, so it made sense that he would find work at an early age as an apprentice to a gnomish master engineer named Kasden Telcon. From the age of 14 to 18, Xen worked as an apprentice to Kasden and worked to prefect his craft. After many years of training Xen ended his apprenticeship in search of new horizons and new lands to explore and lend a helping hand to those who might need his mechanical prowess. Unfortunately before he was able to make much progress with that the Great Annihilation happened and he was caught in one of the rays. Being revived some years later most everyone Xen knew is now gone and he is left to cut his own path in this new world.
Okay so here's my idea. An eccentric Lizardfolk Artificer, who believes himself to be a high-class gentleman/renaissance man in a previous life. In acting as haughty as he did he eventually came across of group of like minded scholars. Who traveled the world experimenting and improving on machinery While exploring the world he saw a great incongruity with the way that weapons were used and potential the technology held within it. Bringing up these ideas to his colleagues consistently met with derision however, and eventually he became fed up with it. So eventually he decided to show them what he could do. He stole some(very expensive) supplies and retreaded into the desert to begin his work. When he returned nearly half a year later he was caring a device of his own invention. The Thundergun.
Still trying to come up with a fun overly british name for this guy, so if anyone thinks of something let me know. I'm thinking of incorporating Lucius into it somehow but I'm hitting a block for some reason.
