Rockhand looks at the paper, confused by the strange squiggly lines on it. "I don't know what this is, but thank you, friend. I will give this to someone smart. What's a fish-man?" She shrugs, gives Mustard a loving pat, and walks over to Ren. "Here," she says, shoving it into his hand.
Grathart did not really get a good look around here when last he stood in these halls. He was amused by the way the clearly giantmade stonework fused with the nature that surrounded them. Still, he knew they had work to do so he did not allow himself to get lost for too long in it's intricacies, "We should make ready for when the enemies position is found, so that we can end this."
OOC Yes, pretty much so. Feel free to play some downtime period if you want, otherwise:
King Hekaton comes back to you after 5 days. He spent this time in the magical cave of Maelstrom, using divination magic to find information about Imyrith.
"My friend, I have learned about our nemesis. Imyrith is in truth an ancient blue dragon, mostly known as Doom of the Desert. His lair is close to ruins of Ascore, and the edge of the Anauroch Desert. It will not be easy to defeat such a creature in his lair. Because of our renewed mutual friendship, I, King Hekaton, give you these."
King Hekaton gives Ordo Ursa a dragon's claw covered with molten silver and a wooden gavel the size of a war-hammer. These are respectively the Claw of the Wyrm Rune and the Gavel of the Venn Rune.
"Rune magic is without a doubt the most precious heritage of the giantkind, dating back to the ancient empire of Ostoria."
King Hekaton continues:" It is a small thing compared to the honour you did to us all. Soon, you, Harshnag and I will leave Maelstrom to get to the edge of the Great Sand Sea and shalt defeat Imyrith once and for all."
"It's not over yet.....you can thank those who survive after the battle. One ancient wyrm will be more than a challenge.....even for us. By now we can assume she's aware of your release and will be holed up in her lair."
"One last fight, to bring justice to the world. We will be glad to have the great King at our side." Ren walks over to Ordo Ursa, "I have researched blue dragons heavily. Ever since we ran into one at the Temple and I thought we lost Harshnaag forever, I wanted us to be prepared if we ever ran into one again."
Ren then shares all the information he's conjured up about blue dragons.
Vain and territorial, blue dragons soar through the skies over deserts, preying on caravans and plundering herds and settlements in the verdant lands beyond the desert’s reach. These dragons can also be found in dry steppes, searing badlands, and rocky coasts. They guard their territories against all potential competitors, especially brass dragons.
A blue dragon is recognized by its dramatic frilled ears and the massive ridged horn atop its blunt head. Rows of spikes extend back from its nostrils to line its brow, and cluster on its jutting lower jaw.
A blue dragon’s scales vary in color from an iridescent azure to a deep indigo, polished to a glossy finish by the desert sands. As the dragon ages, its scales become thicker and harder, and its hide hums and crackles with static electricity. These effects intensify when the dragon is angry or about to attack, giving off an odor of ozone and dusty air.
Vain and Deadly. A blue dragon will not stand for any remark or insinuation that it is weak or inferior, taking great pleasure in lording its power over humanoids and other lesser creatures.
A blue dragon is a patient and methodical combatant. When fighting on its own terms, it turns combat into an extended affair of hours or even days, attacking from a distance with volleys of lightning, then flying well out of harm’s reach as it waits to attack again.
Desert Predators. Though they sometimes eat cacti and other desert plants to sate their great hunger, blue dragons are carnivores. They prefer to dine on herd animals, cooking those creatures with their lightning breath before gorging themselves. Their dining habits make blue dragons an enormous threat to desert caravans and nomadic tribes, which become convenient collections of food and treasure to a dragon’s eye.
When it hunts, a blue dragon buries itself in the desert sand so that only the horn on its nose pokes above the surface, appearing to be an outcropping of stone. When prey draws near, the dragon rises up, sand pouring from its wings like an avalanche as it attacks.
Overlords and Minions. Blue dragons covet valuable and talented creatures whose service reinforces their sense of superiority. Bards, sages, artists, wizards, and assassins can become valuable agents for a blue dragon, which rewards loyal service handsomely.
A blue dragon keeps its lair secret and well protected, and even its most trusted servants are rarely allowed within. It encourages ankhegs, giant scorpions, and other creatures of the desert to dwell near its lair for additional security. Older blue dragons sometimes attract air elementals and other creatures to serve them.
Hoarders of Gems. Though blue dragons collect anything that looks valuable, they are especially fond of gems. Considering blue to be the most noble and beautiful of colors, they covet sapphires, favoring jewelry and magic items adorned with those gems.
A blue dragon buries its most valuable treasures deep in the sand, while scattering a few less valuable trinkets in plainer sight over hidden sinkholes to punish and eliminate would-be thieves.

"...Debts must always be paid, sometimes in more than blood and gold. But this is Ordo Ursa," Ren places his hand on Erakas's chest, right where the Dragonborn's heart is. "Right here. And it always has been and always will be. Don't ever forget that. Because I won't."

((OOG I did miss that...well, I read it last week and forgot kind of missed lol ))
Ren takes the note and studies it. *Hmm...* This probably isn't the best time to bring up another adventure that needs the help of Ordo Ursa. But knowing there were others out there who needed Ordo Ursa, to stay together; well this made Ren happier than he has been in a long, long time. He pockets the note and asks the King; "I'm sorry if this is intrusive, but do you have a library here or a sage that I can speak of some things with? My curiosity is never lacking, I feel like the more knowledge I have the better prepared we will always be."

Erakas shakes his head "Don't look at me.....we may share some ancestry but I've tried to avoid my larger cousins whenever possible...." and he'll smirk
Hekaton:" Most certainly. You can use the library, but I am sending Tug and Cog to help you, the keepers of knowledge can be quite heavy. "
Tug and Cog, two hill giants, accompany Ordo Ursa and Whisper to the library (area 25).
This room contains sturdy, floor-to-ceiling shelves made of petrified wood. Stacked on them are scores of 4-foot-diameter, 600-pound rocks engraved with Dethek runes (the Dwarvish script). These stones have various discoveries recorded on them, including the locations of shipwrecks, sahuagin strongholds, sea elf domains, and dragon turtle lairs. These rocks also record fables that are meant to be passed down from one generation to the next, including cautionary tales about the fall of ancient Ostoria and accounts of the giants’ ancient war against dragonkind. Other stones have prayers and ancient rituals inscribed on them, most having to do with the worship of Stronmaus, the patron god of storm giants. A few of the rocks have spells etched into them.
OOC Is there any particular knowledge Ren is seeking?
((OOG Nah, we know enough about Blue Dragons, Argent...lol well, I think so anyway...lol I want to know about Chult, anything I can find on the subject. The lands, the people, the customs. Deep-diving this land that is far from Faerun. Ren wants to find a way to keep Ordo Ursa together. Maybe Erakas will stay if there is an adventure to be had and the world needs saving again! :)
Ren would also look up information about the desert they are going to be traveling to. What to expect, creatures and the environment itself. Is it a sandy desert or is it like the American west? Maybe any information about where Imryth is.
Also, an anatomical drawing of an ancient blue dragon with a big X that marks the soft spots??? lol
Lots of great knowledge here, I hope the King will let me come back from time to time :) ))

Both the desert of Anauroch and the land of Chult are foreign also for the wise and knowledgeable storm giants. However, after several hours of study, Ordo Ursa finds the following information.
Anauroch. Called also the Great Sand Sea, the desert of Anauroch is located east of the High Forest, south of the Great Glacier and it is almost as long as the entire Sword Coast. It was once a verdant land, until the failure of Karsus, the Netherese archmage who tried to absorb the Weave to became a god, made the empire of Netheril fall, destroying the land, among other things.
Typical creature encountered here are bands of Gnolls, spiders scorpions, mummies, the scorpion-men Tlincalli, the ant-men Thri-kreen, Blue dragons (obviously), Brass dragons, Yuan-ti and Purple Worms.
Chult. Chult is an almost untamed and unexplored jungle land, beyond the sea of Calimshan. It was the land of the god Ubtao, but it is unclear now if the god is still revealing himself. The only spot of civilization is the city of Port Nyanzaru, ruled by Merchant Princes. Mezro, once the splendour and the pride of Ubtao is now a ruin.
The jungle is famous, or infamous, for the magnificent reptilian behemoths, but rumours of hordes of undead are still being heard.
