filcat - I may not speak for the rest of the party but I must say - thank you so much for a game well mastered. It has been an honor and a pleasure to play in this game with you. It has been a long 9 months, but it has been something I look forward to every day when I go to work.
As for the rest of you, firehawk, madclergy, gmoat - thank you for allowing me to journey and grow along side the excellent cast of characters that you have dedicated parts of your life to bringing to life in this game. It's been funny, and heartwarming, and heartbreaking at times, but it wouldn't have been any of those things without the devotion you've shown to your characters. I would gladly (and will be) play at a table with any and all of you.
I can't believe it's over.....I might be getting a little emotional
I firmly believe it's not over, just on pause. Rockhand may one day be found. I've already leveled her up and reverted her back to her normal stats. She just needs time to find herself.
Oh I leveled up Erakas as well - Marshmellow gets a sweet new power at level 11
Storm of Claws and Fangs (Beast Conclave 11, UA:RR 6) My companion can, as an action, make melee attacks vs. all creatures within 5 ft of it
All...as in stuff me in a pack of 8 gargoyles and she can make 8 attacks/round
Also - as a side note since we're RIIIIIIIIIIIIICH - Erakas has a nice suit of Blue Dragon Scale Mail now - it shows off his eyes and makes him the envy of a lot of folk in Ship Kurth - wonder what Beniago thinks of his pet ranger now!
He's also left most of his fortune in his room in the castle - taking with him a sizeable portion to give to Ship Kurth - perhaps that will be enough to allow him the freedom to return to Ordo Ursa....maybe not
I will level Grathart soon, I am definitely emotional, this has been the longest campaign I have ever been in. I count all of you among my list of friends, and as Argent said will gladly sit at any table I am invited to, or create. Ordo Ursa is and always will be Grathart's pack, and you guys are more than welcome to stop in at any of the Establishments that he sets up along major roads for a pint of Skymother Ale, brewed at High Altitudes on the Cloud Castle Ursa.
Fil, this was awesome! I was afraid I would never get to play this game because I ran it before and it was as much fun as I thought it would be. Thank you for letting us be ourselves, and being super chill about certain rules or actions. It really makes the game so much easier when you have a great DM and you 100% are a great DM! I hope we can revisit these characters one day, I would love to see what you could cook up for us next! Thank you, thank you!!!
I don't want to get emotional either, it's not like this is the end of summer camp. I mean, we have a new game starting up soon...lol but, I really love Ordo Ursa. I always try to find something special in every game I play, like a memory to hold on to when I get old and look back at all my crazy D&D adventures; that's Ordo Ursa. Ordo Ursa means a lot to me, and, of course; to Ren. It's really crazy how a bunch of strangers came together, formed a party, came up with a name, then became something more. That's my favorite story of this whole game is that not only did we make it to the end, but we created something in the world that will be long-lasting. A code and a way of life. It's awesome and I love it.
I will miss Rockhand the most. She was a raging fire of emotions, which is something you don't find in most barbarians. Usually, it is rage and attitude. She had that and so much more. I was glad to be there to rescue her tribe and to see her heal up a bit. Ren will not let her go, he will find her and try to help mend her wounds as he has for months. Ren isn't long for this world unless he can find a cure for burnout, so he has to work quickly to find his friend and help her.
Erakas is still a mystery to me. I know him, he knows me but Ren still doesn't understand his Ship and what his obligations are to it. I guess all Ren needed to know was that he and Marsh were super brave, amazing warriors and had his back no matter what. Loyalty doesn't need a full backstory.
Grathart was always there for any of us too. No matter what, he was there. He was very agreeable for a dwarven druid...minus the times we had to spend underground with his kin lol I feel like he was the most serious out of all of us, but it was great that he was in our corner. It was nice to have someone who could wow, protect and heal us with his spells. And the stuff he changed into? Oh, my! That was awesome!!! And, we have a Grove on the CCU. ((Which I think MC came up with the name of the CCU, which is an awesome name for our flying fortress lol ))
And if there are those who have been following our adventures, thanks. If we could entertain you, awesome. If you got inspiration from one of us, run with it! The concept of this game is that we share ideas and stories, so if Erakas killing a purple worm and wearing its head like a helm inspired you to be kooky too, then do it.
Ren is one of my most beloved characters. I have always loved Psions, now Mystics. And NO ONE would let me play one. I understand why, I do, but they really aren't game breaking...though they are SUPER awesome and powerful. I like to play characters that are something I am not, ones that help me think outside the box. Playing a closeted gay character on the run from his family was way outside of my comfort zone, and his interests really never came into to play too much, but it was something I always thought about with him. Just that he had this shame of leaving his family and not being able to be himself, not for his orientation. So he always tried to prove himself worthy of other's company. Hence all the compliments (which were honest, if not a little toward his own self interests) and belief in his friends. He was smart, and he knew how to use his knowledge. Sometimes, it backfired. And sometimes frost giants would attack their own :P All in all, he's going to be missed.
I am also leveling up Ren. I can't wait until we come back and play with these characters again!
All in all, thanks for making this memorable. And for being cool with me too, y'all. I know I can be a little much sometimes...lol :P Here's to the next chapter!

"...Debts must always be paid, sometimes in more than blood and gold. But this is Ordo Ursa," Ren places his hand on Erakas's chest, right where the Dragonborn's heart is. "Right here. And it always has been and always will be. Don't ever forget that. Because I won't."

I have too. This is the longest campaign I've ever been a part of, and Rockhand is the highest level I've ever gotten a character. She means a lot to me, and yeah, I'm disappointed with how this ended. That's why she left. She'll be a different person when she's next found. I wasn't terribly pleased with Ancestral Guardians, and really just want her to go back to Beserker again, so she's off on a journey of self discovery in order to regain some of the honor she feels she's lost.
Yup. She feels like she's brought dishonor upon both Ordo Ursa and the Ironhand Tribe. Also, she gave Aukan leadership of the tribe before leaving for the battle with the Kraken, so it's technically not her tribe anymore.
I assumed you gave Aukan the leadership because you suspected (like I think many of us did) that we wouldn't be returning from the battle with an ancient dragon....

She won't be alone. Ren can find her super easily. And, having a mobile tribe of goliaths is actually pretty awesome! We can train them up more and help them find a new home. We can offer to take them around the world when they come of age, make them a CCU Knight or whatever?

They were nomadic anyway, so traveling is in their blood.
OOC: Did Ordo Ursa just become it's own faction akin to the Harpers and the Emerald Conclave???
OOC Well it can become a faction!
You need a motto!
((OOG We have one...
Ordo Ursa.
Duh lol :P ))

A dwarf with a canoe on his back? What could go wrong?
The honour and the pleasure have been mine, as well. Thank you.
Also, we leave this PbP with 60 000 views! I dunno how views exactly work, but if there are indeed "followers", thank you all!
