"Indeed. Regardless, we'd best be about our search, as promised to our illustrious employer. I only raise these things to ensure that we're all aware of the potential dangers ahead, though I'm sure nothing too troublesome awaits us. From what I've heard around the inns and taverns of the city during my meanderings, this Xanathar's Guild is likely more concerned with rival criminal organisations than with troubling random citizens.
Aenio! You're here - excellent!!! I was worried that last nights revelry might have left your temples a little tender, if you know what I mean. Hopefully Tiermat will meet us along the way. I asked Durnan this morning, but apparently he'd left his room early to take care of something.
Let's head to this Shattered Dragon Inn and see what we may find out, shall we?"
'With a wink and a confident smile at each of his compaions, Vassa will leave the Portal and lead the way towards the Shattered Dragon, having passed the place on quite a few occassions. Vassa plans to lead the group down Rainrun Street, Belnimbra's Street and Gut Alley to show them the Metal House of Wonders along the way (one of the bards favourite guild halls in the city), before heading down Snail Street to their destination.'

Your party walks through the city, some of you experiencing the sights and sounds of Waterdeep for the first time. Vassa continues to call attention to points of interest as you walk down Snail Street. As you near Fish Street you hear some commotion. When you get to the intersection you see has been cordoned off by the City Watch. Lying on the cobblestones are a half-dozen corpses, seemingly the victims of some terrible skirmish. Watch officers have disarmed and arrested three blood-drenched humans and are in the midst of questioning witnesses. One of the officers sees you, “Get on,” she says. “Nothing to see here.”

Asariel being as curious as she is, she feels the need to find out more. With a subtle twist of her hands she attempts to charm one of the city watch (charm person WIS save DC: 14)
if she succeeds she will try and get information from the city watch about what happened and if they knew who floor was and where the xanathar guild base is.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Seeing the watch officers talking to Asariel and Vassa and questioning the apparent prisoners, Kestrell tries to sneak around behind the cordon and take a look at the bodies to also see if they match the description of Floon.
Vassa looks around and sees three people kneeling with their hands on their heads off to the side. There are about a dozen guards of the City Watch on the scene, some standing watch over the prisoners, some are questioning witnesses and others, like the one you met, are on traffic control.
As Kestrall tries to slip in closer another guard spots him, makes eye contact, shakes his head and points back toward the rest of the group.
The city watch that initially told you to move on falls prey to Asariel's magic and starts explaining the this was a fight between the Zhentarim and the Xanathar Guild and that the three survivers were all Zhentarim. As you all learn this you look up and find the three captives all staring coldy back at you.
Are we ever sure that we exist? Do we have feelings? Or are we just NPC's designed to think highly? If so what is our purpose? Why are we here? Who are the players? Or are there Players?
"Spark is right," replies the City Watch guard. "That's what these fights are, sparks off a fire that's been building for weeks between the Xanathar Guild and Zhentarim. And I'm afraid the rest of Waterdeep is a dry pile of hay."
