Only the bravest heroes dare enter the Tomb of Corrosion, for once inside, there's no turning back. You have been warned.
5th level, 1 uncommon magic item, 27-point buy, all official 5e content allowed, no evil characters, homebrew negotiable. 4-6 players.
Short rest healing requires a Medicine check, DC 4+number of Hit Dice to be spent. Long rest lets you either regain Hit Dice (as per official rules) or spend Hit Dice (as per short rest in official rules).
Equipment: Explorer's Pack, Rapier, Shortbow, Quiver (20 Arrows), Studded Leather Armor, Two daggers, Thieves' Tools, Holy Symbol (Medallion with crest of Kelemvor), Prayer book, 5 sticks of incense, vestments, set of common clothes, Cloak of Protection
Gold: 15
Features:
Darkvision - Thanks to your infernal heritage, you have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Hellish Resistance - You have resistance to fire damage.
Infernal Legacy - You know the thaumaturgy cantrip. When you reach 3rd level, you can cast the hellish rebuke spell as a 2nd-level spell once with this trait and regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest. When you reach 5th level, you can cast the darkness spell once with this trait and regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest. Charisma is your spellcasting ability for these spells.
Expertise - At 1st level, choose two of your skill proficiencies, or one of your skill proficiencies and your proficiency with thieves’ tools. Your proficiency bonus is doubled for any ability check you make that uses either of the chosen proficiencies. ( Stealth and Investigation)
Sneak Attack - 3d6
Beginning at 1st level, you know how to strike subtly and exploit a foe’s distraction. Once per turn, you can deal an extra 1d6 damage to one creature you hit with an attack if you have advantage on the attack roll. The attack must use a finesse or a ranged weapon.
You don’t need advantage on the attack roll if another enemy of the target is within 5 feet of it, that enemy isn’t incapacitated, and you don’t have disadvantage on the attack roll.
Cunning Action - Starting at 2nd level, your quick thinking and agility allow you to move and act quickly. You can take a bonus action on each of your turns in combat. This action can be used only to take the Dash, Disengage, or Hide action.
Uncanny Dodge - Starting at 5th level, when an attacker that you can see hits you with an attack, you can use your reaction to halve the attack’s damage against you.
Assassinate - Starting at 3rd level, you are at your deadliest when you get the drop on your enemies. You have advantage on attack rolls against ny creature that hasn't taken a turn in the combat yet. In addition, any hit you score against a creature that is surprised is a critical hit.
Dual Wielder - +1 AC while wielding a separate melee weapon in each hand, You can use two weapon fighting even when the one handed melee weapons you are wielding aren't light, you can draw or two two one handed weapons when you would normally be able to draw or stow only one.
Shelter of the Faithful - As an acolyte, you command the respect of those who share your faith, and you can perform the religious ceremonies of your deity. You and your adventuring companions can expect to receive free healing and care at a temple, shrine, or other established prsence of your faith, though you must provide any material components needed for spells. Those who are your religion will support you (but only you) at a modest lifestyle.
Nox, in 5e the only thing that lets you add +1 to your AC while dual-wielding is the Dual Wielder feat. Also, 5e only lets you dual-wield when both weapons are light.

I was taking the Dual Wielder feat instead of the ability score enhancement at level 4. I put it under features, but I'll make a separate section for the Feat.

Okay, now switch your shortsword for another rapier; you're going to need it.

Is this a module? I am not familiar with the title. Thanks.
This is not a published adventure.
Does it take place in the forgotten realms or another setting?
It does not take place in any official setting. Why do you ask?
I ask because I am interested in the game, but I usually like to tie my character to a location or an event for the setting. Helps me feel connected.
Make up an event, or tie your character to the thriving giant rat jerky trade in the city of Whiterun.
White run is the name of one of the cities? Like Skyrim?
In another campaign, I needed a city name and Whiterun was the only thing anyone could come up with. If you want, this can be set in the same world. Otherwise, probably not. And yes, Whiterun did come from Skyrim.
