ooc: how far are we from the giant ?
You are not far from the giant. It came crashing through the gate you just walked past. It's about 40 feet away, tearing apart a building.
You check and find the guard somehow survived the fall, barely. His arm is hanging loosely from the shoulder. You quickly reset his arm, and place him safely (or as safe as possible in the path of a raging giant) behind the cart. He's stable for now, but will need a healer soon.
Valrish quickly approaches the cart, and tries to sneakily grab the group's weapons. Stealth: 9

You go for the weapons, but as you grab them they clatter and clank together. The two duergar guarding the cart quickly turn and see you, at first raising their weapons to attack, but then a bellow erupts from behind them. They slowly look over their shoulders, and you all see as the giant begins heading in your direction. One of the guards gulps. The other one drops his weapon so he can better help you collect your own.
Oorr didn't understand what his captor said, but judging by Zippy's reaction wasn't a nice thing.
As the crazy giant situation erupts, Oorr first calls Zippy to come at his side, then tries to grab his weapons from the chart.
Oorr Initiative 12
Zippy, who never really went far away, following along stealthily as you entered the city, skitters out from a sewer grate near the battle and joins his master. Both duergar guards are now handing you all back your weapons as the giant barrels down on you.
(OOC Roll perception to see what kind of creature it is.)
(Rolled 6) The giant is odd looking. It doesn't look like an Ettin as you remember them. The second head juts out from the main head at a weird angle. Like it's not supposed to be there.

Current Companions: Eldeth, Sarith, Stool, Derendil, Jimjar, Bupiddo. (Remind me if I forgot someone...) There are two duergar guards near you, and a dozen or so that ran towards the giant. A few of those have been smashed or squashed or slammed aside.

Grimnir kneels to the unconscious duergar and make him drink one of his potion of healing When the soldier regains consciousnesses, he tells him in dwarvish: "Here you go my friend, I am Grimnir. Remember my face, remember that we helped you. You can see that we do not have any bad intentions and that we are helping to defend your city from chaos."
Grimnir then stands up and grab his quarterstaff from the cart and gets ready to fight the giant (but leaving a good 25ft between him and the big guy)

OOC I am also posting my turn since I think it will hardly affect Valrish's.

Oorr and Zippy stop 20 feet from the giant. The Aarakocra start speaking the words of a spell to enhance the connection between him and his spidey friend (Beast Bond)."My mind in your mind..."
Valrish, making sure he has all of his weapons, looks at all the chaos the giant is causing and makes the flames on his mace appear as he grins, going into a Rage. "I'm gonna make sure to cut BOTH of its ugly heads."

The giant examines the rock he picked up, peering closely at it, then suddenly drops it as Valrish speaks. Guards and others dive out of the way of the crashing rock.
"Both...heads...!" exclaims the giant, somewhat groggily.
He turns to Valrish and brings two fists crashing down on the barbarian. Unarmed Attack 1: 15 Bludgeoning damage: 13 Unarmed Attack 2: 25 Bludgeoning damage: 12 (OOG since the first was a crit, and second was a miss, I'll just take the damage from the die on the second roll to add to it, so total damage is 6 (Half of 12))
The first fist slams into Valrish, knocking him slightly off balance, which actually knocks him out of the way of the second fist as it crashes into the ground sending rubble scattering everywhere. "No heads!" shouts the giant.
Your companions take up defensive positions, using their turn to move as far from the rampaging giant as possible. You see Jimjar and Bupiddo pull out daggers as they hide behind a nearby building. Sarith, Stool, and Eldeth back up down an alley towards the lake.
The duergar guards rush in with swords to cut at the legs of the giant, while a few shoot cross bow bolts at him from a distance. They do some damage to the giant, but it doesn't seem to slow him down.

The guard comes to and stands up, reaching for his weapon. When he sees the empty potion bottle in your hand, he understands what just happened. He seems like he's about to say something, but then nearby giant interrupts him as it attacks Valrish, and he ducks to the side out of harm's way, behind you.
"All right," I say in Gnomish, "let's see if we can find a non-dangerous solution." I cast Tasha's hideous laughter on the giant.
Wis Save: 6 You watch as the giant stops all his movement. The main head (the one that looks like it is in the place a head should be and not jutting out the side of his neck) begins to snicker, and then the snickering gets louder and louder, until the large cavernous darklake district is filled with the noise of a laughing giant. He sits down immediately, hands on his heads, laughing uncontrollably. "One head, two head! No head, you dead!"he shouts, seemingly making a joke and laughing even harder. (OOG The giant is prone and incapacitated Any damage will give him a chance to stop.)
Valrish grips his mace tightly. He runs towards the giant and leaps, swinging his mace upon the laughing head: Attack: 26 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll.

A blast of frost covers the front of the giant's torso as it leans down towards you.
It brushes off the dusting of ice crystals and then picks up a nearby boulder from the side of the cavern.
