Do I have advantage because I've dedicated my life to studying the likes of him and because my flaw is "Most people scream and run when they see a demon. I stop and take notes on its anatomy."? Never mind; I got a crit.
(OOG For future reference, I wouldn't give you advantage on the check since your knowledge would not make you any less susceptible to the Demogorgon's abilities, however you would know exactly what was happening and why. In this case, the appearance of the fiend is sending a wave of madness throughout the crowd. The mere presence of the grand demon instills chaos and confusion among those in his path. You would be able to recognize these symptoms as very similar to what happened to your party when you passed through the quartz cave, and that those of you who suffered some affliction at that time may potentially see even more hazardous side effects. Mechanically this means anyone who fails the save suffers a level of madness, and then I roll on the madness table to see what befalls you. If you suffered some form of madness before, then it will be worse if you fail again. So far, each of you has saved, so nothing happens, but I cannot say the same for your NPC friends, which I'll get to soon. I'll continue once Grimnir has rolled.)
(OOC so this campaign is about trying to escape the underdark + trying to survive the demons + trying to survive the madness. Did I miss anything?)
OOC: Just how it's possible.
(OOC I don't think it is.)

(OOC so this campaign is about trying to escape the underdark + trying to survive the demons + trying to survive the madness. Did I miss anything?)
(OOG Up to this point, your goal has been to escape the underdark after being captured. Now you're learning that something is terribly amiss as there are demon lords tramping about, and madness infused areas playing havoc with your sanity. Belwar can probably tell you that's not usually the norm. So yes, you're goal is to survive and escape. But as with all things, you goals may change in time!)
Upon the appearance of Demogorgon, the battle scene gets even more chaotic. Kuo-Toa everywhere drop their weapons and fall to the ground, wailing. Many seem stunned or confused. Tentacles lash out at the docks sending debris and Kuo-Toa flying to their doom in the water. Then several other strange things happen all at once.
Bupiddo begins muttering, even more than usual, eyes darting all around him. He clutches his belongings to his chest, worried others might try and take them. He does not stop running, however, continuing on towards the exit.
Derendil screams in agony, his face red with rage as he begins to attack Eldeth with no provocation. Eldeth screams as she races away from the hulking quaggoth. He chases after her
Jimjar, normally the example of keeping a cool head, begins to stare around at the ongoing scene, a terrified look on his face. He rushes to a nearby structure, and cowers in a corner.
Stool, who is being held by Sarith, begins to shake and tremble uncontrollably. Through the telepathic spores he communicates that he is fine, but he cannot stop the shaking.
Then Sarith stops running. He stares at Stool as if seeing him for the first time. "What... who... where..." He continues to look around confused, nearly dropping the sprout to the ground.
Grimnir, you do not feel anything immediately and can act as normal, but you feel something tickling you at the back of your brain, a vague foggy sort of feeling, as if you suddenly have to try harder to focus on what your current task is. (OOG Spoiler is for Grimnir:)
For the next 7 hours, any time you take damage, you will need to make a Wisdom saving throw (DC 15). On a fail, you will suffer the effects of a Confusion spell for 1 minute
Unless you were included above, you do not suffer any effects of the appearance of the Prince of Demons. Below is what you need to resolve as you try to escape:
1) Derendil is chasing Eldeth, but they are still headed towards the exit. 2) Jimjar has stopped running, and taken cover, cowering in a building, as the Demogorgon gets closer and closer to the town. 3) Sarith has stopped running, standing in the middle of the street, confused, seemingly unaware of who he is or what he is doing here, and he is holding Stool. 4) Stool is shaking with uncontrollable tremors. He is otherwise okay, but he is also not moving as he's being held by Sarith. 5) Bupiddo is acting weird, which is nothing new, but he seems much more paranoid than usual, but he continues to run
Belwar, as stated before, you recognize immediately the effects of madness in your companions, and some seem to have it worse than others. It's hard to tell, but you know the effects may only last minutes, or could last hours. Unfortunately you have neither, as even a minor delay will put you in danger from the ever encroaching Demogorgon.
(OOG Okay, for this, everyone has 4 rounds. That's 4 actions, 4 bonus actions, and 4 movements. At the end of the four rounds, the Demogorgon will be at the altar, right in the middle of the city. At this point you are only about 50-100 feet from that area. Feel free to give me all your actions at once, or you can discuss what you want to do in a general sense, and I'll apply it as seems reasonable. Just to be clear... if you are not using most of your movement to get away, this will likely be a short campaign...)
Oorr slap Sarith in the face and scream at him" Sarith you need to move now! We have to get out of here!" The, he runs toward the exit, praying all the Wind Dukes ever existed then that thing does not care or see any of them. "Zippy, do not look behind. Stay with me!"
"Oorr, you can fly faster than any of us can run. Go get Jimjar. Grimnir, you're faster than anyone but Oorr. See if you can get Sarith running again."
Having determined the most efficiant way for everyone to survive, I start running as fast as I possibly can.

Valrish remains confused for a second, not knowing what to do. "Guess I'll have to kick that quaggoth's ass real good." He says, starting to run towards Derendil and Eldeth. "Come here, you sack fur!"
(I'll just resolve that problem myself.)

"Stay here Zippy."Oorr fly as fast as he can toward Jimjar position. Once he finds him, he grabs him with the talons and forcingly takes him to the exit.
Sarith does not take kindly to getting slapped around. "Who are you!? I demand to know why you're attacking me, and what am I holding?" He sets Stool on the ground, and as he does so, catches the chaos behind him as the Demogorgon draws closer to the altar, fish folk fleeing, cowering, and being grasped and tossed by oily tentacles. "What in the nine hells is that?!" Sarith exclaims. Then, though unsure of how he got into this situation, he still has enough presence of mind to begin running away, leaving Stool behind. The myconid sprout continues to shake uncontrollably, but starts slowly heading toward the gate.
Oorr swoops down and easily lifts the deep gnome off the ground and away towards the gate. Jimjar seem terrified, but a small wave of relief passes as he sees they are flying away from the chaos.
Hemeth, the duergar who you freed at the altar is running along with you. He glances back at the altar, and then looks to Grimnir, "That... was that part of plan? You folks don't mess around, do ye?"
Valrish quickly grabs the myoconid and keeps running. "I've got you buddy."
(OOC Have I gotten any closer to derendil? Could I use my breath weapon if I'm close enough or does running make me unable to do so?)
(OOG Stopping to pick up Stool has cost you time. Derendil and Eldeth are far ahead of you now, dashing towards the gate.)
At this point, everyone is running for their life. Jimjar being carried aloft by Oorr, and Stool safe in the arms of Valrish. Hemeth and Sarith are also running, with Eldeth and Derendil way ahead of the pack (Derendil still seemingly in a rage, chasing after the shield maiden). Belwar, Grimnir, and Bupiddo make up the rest of the group, heading as far away from the Prince of Demons as your feet will carry you. After a few moments, you hear a large cracking sound as the Demogorgon smashes down on the altar of the deep father, destroying it completely. You continue to hear the wailing and crying of the Kuo-Toa as they flee and are smashed into by the oily black tentacles thrashing about, now in the middle of the city. You're unsure if Ploopploopleen or Shuushar survived, having last seen them among the battle.
You seem to be out of danger from any immediate harm as you near the South Gate of Slubloodop. Eldeth runs up against the gate, trying to pull it open. The guards have appeared to abandon the gate in the midst of the attack, though they left it shut. Derendil catches up with Eldeth, and she puts up her shield to block the attack. "Prince! Come to yer senses! It's me, Eldeth!" she cries. The Quaggoth makes to slash at Eldeth with his claws, but just before the blow lands, he checks his swing, and the blow glances off the shield. He pauses, then shakes his head violently, and holds it with his hands. "I'm... I'm so sorry... I don't know what happened,"says Derendil. Eldeth slowly drops the shield, then reaches to comfort him. "There, there, pay it no mind. I dinnae know what that thing is, but it's caused a right ruckus in the town, and you must have gotten caught up in it. Help me open this thing, and let's get the 'ell out of here."
Eldeth and Derendil together just manage to get the large cross bar off the gate, opening it to the underdark to the South, as the rest of you arrive. Jimjar and Derendil both seem to be recovering from whatever it was that afflicted them. Stool continues to tremble, and Bupiddo looks furtively around, making sure he can see where everyone is. Sarith continues to behave as if he does not know who anyone is, including himself, though he's thankful to be out of the reach of that "thing" for now.
Turning to Sarith: "I know you are confused right now. We are all coming back slowly to our senses. But you are a friend, you travelled with us. Stick with us, let's put some distance between us and ...this demon... Everything will become clearer in a while, I'm sure"
To the duergar. "This one is not our doing, we better run for the door now. Stay with us in case we are running into trouble if you want"
Using my second turn to dash again (70ft)
OOC, just curious, does my character knows the demogorgon ? I mean it is a famous lord devil... ?
(OOG Make an Arcana check :) )
Arcana..ahah (-1): 2
You've heard stories, tales, and whispers of demon lords from the abyss. Usually in the form of things told to children to scare them. You may have even heard the name, Demogorgon, but you wouldn't necessarily know that's what this thing is.
Valrish sits down for a moment and tries to leave Stool standing. "I think we'd better go at Jimjar's place..." He says. "Are you okay, buddy?" He asks Stool, not sure how to check a myoconid's health.
