You see two more female bandits, sitting on beds, one of them saying, "-oh, it was disgusting, The Rusty Dragon's food is disgusting." Another saying, "Yeah, the Frog is way better." They don't seem to be talking about anything of your interest.

"The hero sought to save the world.
"If I keep trying, I'll be able to win," the hero thought.
But the harder the hero fought, the further the world seemed to tumble away.
Drowning in doubt, the hero could not even save themselves.
Hero, if you still believe in a brighter future, hold in your heart a thorn that can pierce all doubt."
You see a pretty red headed woman, seated on a plush chair, and standing up, leaning against the wall, is the unforgettable face of Fedrir Tarrenclaw. The redhead has a smile plastered on her face, and looks to be trying to cheer up Fedrir, who looks very unhappy.
"Ugh, i wanted to keep her," Fedrir says,
The redhead cheerfully says, "Don't worry, once they get enough, Travok promised us unspeakable riches!"
"I still don't trust him, the dwarf has a reputation for being greedy, he might not even give us half of unspeakable riches." he says, frowning.

Invaih's silver eyes took count of the three guards in the room, and as he silently pulled the door shut and turned to move back to his companions, he noticed a small mouse pass by. Walking across the floorboards again, he took care to avoid the one that he knew would creak, and put down his weight as gradually as possible. Artin and the others soon saw his black leather boots come down the stairs.
As he came down, the first thing Invaih noticed was the absence of their other elven companion. So then that mouse was Iradari after all. He moved up to the halfling. "Artin, do you have any idea what a strange dark gray and red smoke could be? I feel like you would be most knowledgeable about such things. It is probably necromantic in nature."
"I did see three bandits, in the northwestern room," Invaih nods, "And I suspect there are two or more in the southwestern one, I heard conversation coming from there on my way up. I believe Iradari went to take a closer look, and can enlighten us more when he returns."
Shifting his weight on one leg, he leans on the wall of the stairwell, and rests both his hands on his swords' pommels. As soon as Iradari returns and explains what he saw, he straightens. "I don't want to give them the advantage of cornering us, but there is no way we can start battle in the northern room and them not noticing. Fortunately I have a plan: I will stay in the hallway near the entrance of the room, and cover the breadth of the hall in impenetrable darkness. That will force them to come in close and in sight of any of you, and I can buy us time at the least. I believe it is the safest, and still a reasonably swift approach."
Taking a breath, he slowly and methodically moves his gaze over each of his companions. "Any thoughts?"
Artin considers the report of enemy action carefully. He rubs his chin thoughtfully.
It has been years since I've done this kind of thing, but in the past, I do recall a painful lesson when one of our party members, oversure of his capacity, was surrounded and dispatched by enemies. I think we should storm the room with the three bandits. If we're lucky and make quick work of them, then great, and if others hear, then at least our forces aren't split.
OOC: Specifically, Artin suggests: Zeg kicks open door to Northeast room (the one with 3 female bandits), everyone else ready an action to either fire ranged, or charge inside. If group agrees, Artin positions himself to the east side of door, with cover, and readies action to cast Sacred Flame once Zeg kicks down the door. OOC: It's also occurred to me that if we wait for everyone to chime in "I agree" for every proposed group action, it's going to take 2 weeks to get any encounter started. Maybe we should nominate a group leader that can call action for the group to keep things moving?
OOC: I agree with Mightylemur. Artin has the highest CHA aside from Invaih (which has the same amount), but Invaih isn't so much a leader as an independent spirit. He follows a strong sense of morals and isn't afraid to stand out or go against the flow; or deviate from plans agreed upon.
Plus, so far, Artin's personality feels like a stable ground, able to link all our various party members together in a unique cause. Pretty important (err, what am I saying, vital ) for a leader.
Factually: Invaih is "Chaotic" (CG Alignment), not ideal as a group leader; and Artin is tied for the highest Charisma score (IIRC), plus is NG (Neutral or Lawful alignments are better suited to leadership).
OOC: Not to dispute anything but if we are going by CHR to decide leadership... I think Artin is 14 and Boo is 15 ;) plus Boo also happens to be NG... lol... just sayin
Following the group to the door sill, Invaih leans against the cover provided by its time-worn, frail oak frame, and readies to cast Darkness in the corridor once the further bandits stroll in, so that it engulfs the area just west of the the eastern door frames.
(OOC: I don't need to keep concentration on the spell when cast with my racial trait, at least according to my Character sheet; no concentration icon)
I go inside the room as a mouse to eavesdrop

What of the others you saw? It would perhaps be unwise to venture into the unknown with the others at our backs.
