Beetle popped up from the sand, a smile on her face. She seemed to be unaffected by the shipwreck. "Still alive over here! Ooh, where are we?" she sprung to a standing position, surveying the area around the party. "I wonder where that statue up there came from?" She pointed at the tortle statue on the island.

Austuli nods to everyone and says "Dream, can you climb that statue to see more. Everyone else, lets look for fresh water." she then proceeds to head away from the wrecks.

Mirrored Dream of Lightning groaned and rolled himself over to his feet. Ow. His head gave a protesting throb, but he understood the need to get their bearings. With a huffing sigh Mirrored Dream of Lightning raised one hand in acknowledgement and shambled over to the statue. He eyed the thing with a grimace--feeling hungover because of dehydration always sucked, whether that dehydration came from drink or from sickness it didn't matter. He might be able to succeed. He hoped he could succeed.

With a frustrated whine Mirrored Dream of Lightning began to climb.

As Dream begins to scale the cliff, a tortle, previously unnoticed by the group, speaks.

"There's an easier way up, young one, and I can take you to fresh water. Welcome, to the Snout of Omgar."

"Ooh! Who are you?" Beetle gawked at the tortle, having never seen something like it before in her life. Suddenly remembering her manners, she snapped her mouth shut, but remained wide-eyed, gazing at the creature.

OOC I won't be able to talk on discord for the next three days or so. Also roll credits.

"A... Tortle?" Sarlypsis realizes. They had actually arrived. "Thank Tymora..." She mumbles, trying to get up without getting too much of a migraine.

"I am Damu. Come, I will take you to our home, Ahoyhoy."

With this, Damu starts walking South-west, down a narrow path by the water.

Austaili calls after Damu "Wait, who are you?" and to the others "Should we follow? I say yes."

"I agree." Sarlypsis says. "We're lost without a local here."

Beetle giggled. "Ahoyhoy," she whispered to herself, before skipping off towards Damu. "Come on, everyone! It'll be fun!"

Sarlypsis heads off with Beetle, a bit hungry herself. "I hope they have food.."

"Well, Mouse, we are going, whether you like it or not. Stay alert everyone" Asutali heads after the Tortle, scanning her surroundings.

Mouse finally snaps him self out of his terrified huddle on the ground, he looks around to see the group behind to head off, still shaking like a leaf scuttles along behind the rest of the group, trying to get to grips with what just happened. 

"As I said, I am Damu. We have a way to go before we will reach Ahoyhoy - we'll likely arrive after nightfall, unless we set up camp a few miles from Ahoyhoy. We'll make the decision at the time I think."

With this, Damu continues walking along the path.

"If it's that far, we sure are lucky that you were nearby." Sarlypsis says. "We would've gotten lost if it wasn't for you..."

(I'm assuming Mouse has already catched up to the rest of the group.)

Sarlypsis remembers their conversarion before being launched off the boat. "Say, Mouse... I couldn't ask you before, but why did you want to come to Omgar?" She asks the human.

"I ah have my reasons..." mouse whispers timidly. "life has never really swung my way, and one of my friends, well my only friend really has been struck with a curse and I have been lead to believe the only hope of saving her is in this island. I know it's a long shot but I have to try!" 

 Mirrored Dream of Lightning scrambled down and after the group when the strange turtle creature spoke about. He tilted his head--interesting. With a hum Mirrored Dream of Lightning bound up until he walked closed to the turtle creature. Did it say this was the Snout of Omgar? Was that not their destination? How lucky, then.

"What is your village like?" Mirrored Dream of Lightning questioned.

"Our village is small. More of a fort really. We have an amphitheatre, a living area, and a market, but not much else."

The afternoon is uneventful, though the scenery is beautiful. The sandy beach, pristine to your right, and a rainforest, lush and green to your right as you head south. As the sun begins to descend over the ocean, the sky explodes into one of the most beautiful sunsets you've ever seen. As you admire the sunset, Damu begins work on making some tents out of large leaves. Within only ten minutes, she has eight tents ready.

Well that's some impressive efficiency, Sarlypsis thinks for herself. "Are these some special kind of tents?"
