Oniss moves the food to his mouth and eats it and looks at the little guy and places him on his shoulder. Half listening to the others he chimes in before going ashore.
"I am not fond of most magic users but a witch so deep in the jungle may have knowledge that may help with our quest. I say lets go pay the witch a visit."
Secured the boats, the party set things up for the night, which passes without any significant event. The tiny creatures are gone, they are nowhere to be found the morning after.
Inland the weather and the visibility is much nicer than the foggy basin. The party walk all morning when Musharib suggests that it is time for lunch.
OOC Usual Survival check, with advantage, for orientation. We are on day 13.
The thirteen day also passes with nothing worth notice. The night is also nice but the party can figure out why it is difficult to get rid of the fog from the basin.
OOC We are now on day 14. Another Survival, please.
Gertrude is sad that the tiny creatures left without them having been able to communicate with them. Then she is looking at the fog wondering why it almost seems to be following them: 11 or 5 (forgot advantage)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Day 14 feels...odd. Something is not as it seems. But again, aside from small animals, no hostile creature is in sight.
Musharib:" Mmmm, my beard is itching. We are too close to the jungle than we should. Stay here. "Having said that Musharib goes near a dense group of shrubs. He starts whistling. Then he begins to...speak. To the shrubs. (Survival 8)
"We lost a day of travel. We didn't take the right direction toward the hills. That's why the fog seemed to follow us."Musharib than points at the right location on the map.
After few hours that Musharib is taking you in the right direction towards the hills, a swish is heard not far from the party's location. There is just enough time to turn around and understand that a group of 6 large, weird serpents is attacking!
Snake 1 and 2 take advantage of the distracted dwarven member (Irommek) of this group of delicious humanoids to spring forward and bite. Attack: 13 Damage: 11 Attack: 22 Damage: 20
Irommek was contemplating how the party could have gotten off track even though he had plotted a fairly straight course to the ghost city. The distraction was a costly one.
One snake struck home between plates and the other found a slight opening in his neck. His armor, which had already saved him from several attacks over the past few days was useless this time around.
"Ach! I dinna see that one..."
He crumpled to the ground in a helpless mass.
