"I get sick and tired of you telling me what to do. I dont need your permission. If I want to do something you can't stop me..." After the Medusa finishes her talk with Kurma "If you're still wish for death I can end it quickly for you. I understand the pain of living after everyone you care for is gone. If Kurma can save her then maybe it is worth still being alive.."

Felix Windfall (Human-V Lv.7 Rogue) killed in ToA,Vallan Houndstrider (Halfling Ghostwise Lv.1 Fighter) in DiA
Gertrude puts her hand on Felix's arm, trying to tame his temper. She addresses the Medusa again: "I feel Felix might be right. If Kurma can save your love, then maybe you can find the strength to live too? How about you hide here, let us cast a spell on your friend. If we can rescue her, I am happy to go and find a solution for your condition as well. It might not be easy, it might take a while, but I can promise you that I will return!"
Irommek sighs a breath of relief. Deciding between being merciful & killing in cold blood vs possibly suffering the same fate as her petrified love when they had their backs turned was a disturbing dilemma.
"My lady Medusa, we came to this shrine looking for a cube. Is there one inside that we could, um, borrow until we gain access to the source of the death curse on these lands?"
Gertrude looks at her friends. She can see their uneasiness written all over their faces.
When Felix leaves, she has an idea.
She addresses her companions: "How about you all go outside. I will take the Medusa further back. We'll hide together and listen to Kurma perform his spell. When everything works out, I will untie her." Then she says to the Medusa: "You know, I am just worried that you'll want to look at your love. This is just a precaution. Do you agree to the plan? Then walk with me."
The room by the left wall has the wooden door tear apart by vegetation. It seems like it was a reception room. A broken table is in the middle, while the shelves of a conspicuous library occupy the southern wall. Most of the books are now no more useful than combustible material for a fireplace, but perhaps some have survived the cruelty of time.
A skeleton lies near the table. It wears a broken leather armour, a helm and still holds a key in the left hand and an orb in the right.
As Gertrude and the Medusa move away, Kurma notices the old books. "Once this is done, may I look at your book collection ?"
He then approaches to the statue and takes out his charm. "It better worth it, friends. This is great magic that I'm using...". A minute of meditation and the amulet containing the charm glows. In a flash of light, Four of the 6 stones disappear at the contact of the cold statue. OOC: Using 4/6 charge for Greater Restoration
"He is holding a key and an orb. Are they of any value to you? Maybe we can use it in our quest to rid this island from the death curse. Do you mind if I take them outside for our spell thrower to identify?"

Kurma is not used to spells of this power. The casting takes all his concentration.
The statue starts losing the stone as it were dust. The woman starts immediately to breathe heavily to gasp for air and falls over the tortle figure she in front of her.

"Those matter not to..."The Medusa's words stop as soon as she hears the voice in the hall.

Gertrude bends down and picks up the key and the orb. She quickly looks around the room to see if there is anything else.
Then she concentrates on the medusa, to make sure to keep her from removing the bedroll or from running into the hall.

The key has a question mark worked into the head. That aside, it is difficult to discern what it is for.

"Where...where am I?"
Kurma gently places his hand on the shoulder of the woman. "It's ok...I am Kurma, I manage to bring you back to life. You were petrified, I mean turned into stone." After waiting for her to assess this new information, Kurma continues: "You are now in the old city of Omu. Do you remember your name or what were you doing here?"
"I... I am Nadia... Omu? Why is it all ruined here? I was here... my home. Where is Persephone?"
The Medusa hears Nadia speaking that name. Her name. Such a simple thing unlocks her memory and, hopefully, her identity. "I... remember now." She says softly to Gertrude.

Felix will sheath his rapier and leave.

"I already lost my good rope, do I have to leave my bed roll? I am guessing we have many more nights with out a bed in an inn."

"I will bring it back to you" Gertrude replies simply.
Gertrude turns to the still blinded and bound Medusa again. "uhh, there is. a skeleton on the floor. What happened here?"
"The vine killed it a few years ago. He was an intruder."
