Feeling the rush of the pending battle GB flys up to the second story window and makes an attempted to smash through. If successful GB uses rest of movement to reach stairs.
//I will roll a strength and a acrobatics check you can choose what you would rather use//
Seeing everyone run off to help, Beril climbs to the top of the wagon, pulls his rapier out and crouches down ready for anything. He watches the surrounding area.
The window is actually open, so GB ends up at the top of the staircase, looking down at the fight
Boo, the elder priest looks at you and responds "There are tales of of an ancient red dragon once living in a nearby cave who often enjoyed the taste of young children. But he has long since passed, those stories are older than the temple itself."
//And here's your chance to try it Aregarak out!//
Aregarak snorts at the kobolds, and anyone nearby can hear what sounds like thunder followed by the acrid scent of ozone. Hairs start to stand on your arms the closer proximity anyone is to the minotaur. You can see his muscles rippling under his skin and feel the raw power emanating from him like the coming of a thunderstorm, bits of static arc across the floor around him in a 10' radius. You begin to understand why his fur is marked with lightning bolts.
With a mighty roar Aregarak rages and swings his mighty greataxe at the nearest kobold.
[Greataxe: 26 Damage: 19]
(If that one is still alive - he will point at it - otherwise he'll point at the next one within 10 feet of him for this)
[Storm Fury (Sea): 6 DEX save DC 12 - 1/2 damage on save]
Arcs of electricity race across the kobold before him
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(Dex save Roll: 9) The Large Kobold staggers under the hit, but is still standing, a bit worse for wear though. The electricity stuns him for a second, however the two smaller kobolds in the back are still fully able to fight, with both of them attacking with slings at the large bull monster that just attacked their leader
First attack is a 11 to hit, and does 5 bludgeoning damage if it hits
Second attack is a 8 to hit, and does 5 bludgeoning damage if it hits // Oh, critical hit, so add another 1 points of damage//
While Lenlieth is running across the square to meet up with the crew, a kobold will crawl out of a well in the middle of the town square and throw a vial of green liquid at Lenlieth
17 to hit, and if it hits it does 8 acid damage
I also promise I didn't manipulate anything, I had to add in the critical damage
IWhile Lenlieth is running across the square to meet up with the crew, a kobold will crawl out of a well in the middle of the town square and throw a vial of green liquid at Lenlieth
11 to hit, and if it hits it does 10 acid damage
// I think when you edit a post it might have rerolled the dice. I saw the first roll, 14 to hit and 6 damage, but luckily that didn't hit either with my AC of 17 :) //
Lenlieth rolls to the side and out of the way, and the vial breaks harmlessly on the ground. She rushes the kobold with her scimitar drawn and slashes at the little reptile.
As she slashes with the scimitar, Lenlieth starts a spin that carries her into a defensive dance, and her blade begins to make a haunting, whistling sounds as it cuts through the air, giving the kobold hardly an opportunity to land a blow.
//Oh, thanks Away, my bad! I'm glad it didn't change anything too bad//
The kobold moves out of the way of Lenlieth's blade, obviously irked that it's attack missed.
Beril, staying close to the shadows of the wall, draws close enough to see Lenlieth miss a kobold with her attack. You are about 40 feet away, and the kobold is too distracted by the whistling blade and it's anger to have noticed you yet. Off to your left you hear the sounds of a battle, including what sounds like the crackle of lightning
Boo, the elder priest looks at you and responds "There are tales of of an ancient red dragon once living in a nearby cave who often enjoyed the taste of young children. But he has long since passed, those stories are older than the temple itself."
Boo shudders at the mention of an ancient red dragon a feeling of dread wash over her, Primrose telepathically picks up on her feelings ((buck up... the priest said it is just an old tale... nothing to worry about)) the Sprite prompts her. Boo looks at the priest, "perhaps the dragon has been sleeping and awakened or another come to take its place, do you have any maps that show the location of this cave or is there anyone who can perhaps provide directions. Where do the Kobolds dwell? Do they have a village or lair near this cave?" Boo apologizes for asking so many questions and explains, "I promised the woman I would help so I just need to find out all I can so I can convince my companions to take part."
//Basically while the others are fighting Boo will use the time to do some fact finding, etc. to relay to the others and save time in the long run. Don't need specifics except that Boo gets an idea where to head or even a map. She will also want to see the woman she saved and find out the names of her children so Boo can be on the lookout for them.//
The priest says that there is no way that the dragon is still alive, the story talks about a great hero vanquishing the beast. He does say though that the kobolds must have a lair nearby, because kobolds aren't strong enough to carry children too incredibly far. He suggests finding Zeke, the local hunter, who owns two large mastiffs that are said to be extraordinary trackers. The woman is asleep, but the priest informs you that her name is Marithia, and that her two children are named Felrin and Derenth, two boys who are between 7 and 10 years of age
In Boo's mind, a bell rings at the mention of the two large mastiffs thinking the dog she saw in front of a door back where she saved Marithia might be one of these dogs. Boo gives the priest a respectful bow, "thank you for your time... I will go back to my companions and we will seek out this Zeke." Unless the priest has something to add Boo will take her leave and step outside the temple and take to the air and head back to the house where she had seen the dog... hoping her friends will be nearby.
//@DM I'll wait and leave it to you when Boo makes it to the house and the battle... I figure with all the time she has used it will be after the fight so no worries. She will at least have information for the others once back together she can relay.//
Lanea has another arrow notched and ready to let lose but decides she will cast Ensnaring Strike first before letting the arrow lose at Kobold 1. Says a quite whisper as she cast her spell.
//OK, so ensnaring strike doesn't require a roll from you, so I am going to count that first roll as your attack roll, which means that you got a critical hit, so roll an extra d8 (don't add any modifiers) to the damage//
The kobold is struck by the arrow and vines begin to spring up from the ground around it // 4//
The vines overtake the kobold, dealing 2 more damage
