At lvl 20, Eldritch K ight and College of Valor can attack and cast at the same time. Paladin at that point can burn lvl 1-3 spell slots on Divine Smite. Fighter Champion or Battlemaster both attack relentlessly; one hits harder and comes with regen, the other has effects and aly manipulation.

Now that I can see rolls and if this site allows you to have separate threads for gameplay and dicussion while still being linked, we might play here, but still have to wait on my players to make characters though.
I'll be working on mine tonight. Hell, if anything I'll spin up a couple options to keep it flexible.

Chorust, Slaad of Randomness will be the first enemy, since you are fighting them one at a time. The only named Slaad, Cr 25. I'm skipping the Dagon fight, unless you want to fight two CR 25 creatures in one battle, since we aren't at the CR 30/31 yet. what terrain do you want to fight him on? Knowledge History to know stuff about him, you can roll it here if you already created your character. 35 gives you everything. The DC to learn everything about a creature will always be CR+10, you be given everything except stats and HP, but you will know immunities, resistances and all attacks and special abiities and the DC to save against them. To get even just a little info about a creature will be CR-10, with more info given every +5 above that mark. I will make a separate thread once the campaign starts.
Done, I'll spin one up. Can't decide if I want to dump into Con and grab a Belt of Cloud/Storm Giant Strength or some other combo... Belt is definitely tempting though....

I just want to point out that I have a demiplane containing clones of the entire party--at no cost, thanks to wish--with Drawmij's instant summons spells cast to make sure we never lose our gear--again, at no cost, thanks to wish.

"Any society that would give up a little liberty to gain a little security will deserve neither and lose both" -- allegedly Benjamin Franklin
Technical question because the DMG and errata's wording is confusing: If I equip and belt of giant strength, but have permanent stat-boosting effects (racial, feats, tomes, etc), does the belt apply to raw or modified strength score?
Also, I was looking at Armor of Invulnerability and Spellguard Shield thinking that will cover a lot of magic and damage absorption. However, is it better to reduce or avoid damage all together? If I get a +3 shield and +3 plate plus Mantle of Spell Resistance, I'll lose the damage resistance, but gain 6 AC.

Demogorgon is the CR 26 monster I'm running from out of the Abyss. I have the Storm Kings thunder, so I'll add Maegera the Dawn titan, though it would be a bit easy, since he is only CR 23. Maybe him and Demogorgon will fight together.
edit: as far as the other, I might combine Acererak with Lymrith (the named ancient blue dragon from Storm Kings thunder) since I have those books. Others I don't know about, it is all time consuming. Plus they are lower than CR 25 which is not challenging at all given how well equipped you all are.
edit again: I'm forbidden from accessing the monsters in blue, it says I can't go any further.
Anyway, results of the check. CR-10 gives you resistances, immunities, weaknesses, condition immunities and movement speed as well as what I consider the most dangerous or deadly attack, this might not be a damaging effect, it just might be something that paralyzes you all. And a storyline of it. As well as languages and senses if it has blindsight, darkvision, or whatever.
CR-5 gives you all that, plus all attacks or actions it can take in a round.
CR-0 gives you all that plus all legendary actions, tell you if it has Legendary resistance or not which allows a creature to save a saving throw 3 times per day if it fail, and their saving throws, you won't know the numbers but I will rank them from best to worst.
CR+5 gives you all that plus Lair actions and other abilities the creature has, mostly passive abilities, otherwise they'd be attack
Cr+10 give you all that plus any spells the creature knows.
Chorus: speed 50, fly 50, immune to poison and non magical weapons, resistant to fire acid cold lighting and thunder. immune to charm, exhaustion, frightened, paralyzed, petrified and poison, has truesight 120 and speaks slaad and telepathy 120
Dagon: speed 40, swim 40, immune to nonmagical weapons, psychic and poison, cannot be charmed, frightened, paralyzed or poisoned. has blindsight 120 and deep speech and telepahty.
I forgot about background stories. and Most dangerous attack/action of all they can take.
Dagon is considered the Fish god. Beneath the deep waters of world dwell slumbering creatures of immense antiquity forgotten by mortal beings. Dagon is a scaly aquatic titan, it claws can rip apart even a whale and it can raise up an entire sunken island. Dagon has survived in occult legend whispered among kuo-ta, shaugin and merfolk. Even those evil races fear to worship this lost god of old, for no creature has spared its fury at being awaken. None know if a Dagon is a singular creature or if it is an entire race that has yet to be awakened.
Most Dangerous attack/action: I can make one bite or two claw attacks. The claws are more dangerous, they do less damage, but because he gets two attacks. Claw: +17 to hit and does 3d8+9 dmg. If both claws hit you, make a str saving throw dc 17 and take 6d8 blunt damage or half if you save. If you are large or smaller you are grappled, but can break free with a str check dc 17.
Chorust is the most random agent in the universe and does his best to represent his name. He spends most of his time in the Deep Etheral, escaping from cares he does not have. His interests change from wanting to watch the grass grow to destroying the world. Sometimes he is an ally of Ygorl or Ssendam, but these alliances are rare. He is a 20 ft tall white frog, his eyes change colors randomly and he has sharp teeth and claws.
Most dangerous atttack/action: He does have 3 attacks, though with the check you don't know the to hit or damage, he also has a randomness ability that transforms things, details unknown until further checks are made. However his most deadly thing is that he can summon a Slaadi instead of attack as his action. Every round he rolls a d6 and this recharges on a 6, his specialty. 40% it is red, 30% it is blue, 20% it is green, 10% gray and they remain for 24 hours or until slain, even after Chorust is slain
DM ruling on Giant Strength belts? Do they apply to Raw or Modified Strength?
DMG: While wearing this belt, your Strength score changes to a score granted by the belt. If your Strength is already equal to or greater than the belt's score, the item has no effect on you.
DMG Errata: Belt of Giant Strength (p. 155). The last sentence of the first paragraph now reads as follows: “The item has no effect on you if your Strength without the belt is equal to or greater than the belt’s score.”

Why would you want to wear the belt if you str is higher than what the belt provides? If a spell pushes you beyond the limit, you get the higher of the two. Same with headband of intellect or amulet of health.
Yes, we will play here.
Other attacks on Chorust: makes two claws and one bite: bite, 15 to hit 6d6+7 piercing dmg. Claw, 15 to hit. 4d6+7 slashing and 3d6 acid, cold, lighting or fire damage and he choose the type. In addition to three attacks every round, he uses his randomness ability. He chooses one creature or item within 120 feet and it is subject to the wand of wonder. Don't worry this won't affect magic items.
other attacks Dagon can make: bite: 17 to hit, 3d12+9 and must make a con save of 17 or suffer 6d10 poison damage or half on a success. Can only make this attack on grappled creatures.

I just remembered about Legendary Resistance. We need a Battle Master with Trip Attack to get rid of that little problem.
