Just wondering about some technicalities here. The wording of the "obvious" healing spells all say "regains hitpoints" but spells like revivify does not, simply that the creature returns to life with one hitpoint. The basic rules also say that "A creature that has died can't regain hit points until magic such as the revivify spell has restored it to life". So is it restored to life and then healed for one hitpoint, is the one hitpoint part of restoration prosess or does the healing of one hitpoint bring the creature to life?
5th edition is pretty consistent, in my experience, at being precise in its wordings.
Revivify doesn't say "The creature returns to life and then regains 1 hit point", it says "The creature returns to life with 1 hit point." We must assume it means what is written, and thus this does not count as "healing". Presumably, this allows the spell to restore life to a creature that was killed in this round by Chill Touch or the like without issue.
I'm curious as to why you're looking into the technicalities, by the way. Mental exercise, or has it come up in a game?
It actually came up in a game with the raise dead spell in an "anti-healing" zone. It was denied by the DM on the count that it was "healing" (which is fine and his choice to make) but is sparked the discussion after the game.
I had the same interpretation as you, that these spells are not healing, the one hp is simply a byproduct of another process.
The wording for Disciple of Life is “Whenever you use a spell of 1st level or higher to restore hit points to a creature,” so they should get that buff. For the ‘anti-healing’ zone, all the traditional ‘healing’ spells are Evocation, whereas all the spells involving coming back to life are Necromancy. So an argument could be made that an ‘anti-healing’ zone should only affect Evocation spells, or that the creature could be restored to life but not consciousness.

If resurrections counted as healing (they don't), they would be buffed by the Life Domain, restoring dead people to >1 hit point.
I am one with the Force. The Force is with me.

You might consider them to be "healing spells" even though they are different from the healing mechanic.

I always viewed the 1 hp you get from resurrection, as being similar to the 1 HP you get from Nat 20'ing a death save.
But rather than doing it by your own save. it is artificially happening via magic.
