So I'm making a Revised Ranger at level 4 for a campaign my friends hosting. I've chosen the Beast Conclave. Under Companions Bond in the last paragraph it states "Your animal companion gains the benefits of your Favored Enemy feature, and of your Greater Favored Enemy feature when you gain that feature at 6th level. It uses the favored enemies you selected for those features."
When I look at the Favored Enemy it states "When you gain this feature, you also learn one language of your choice, typically one spoken by your favored enemy or creatures associated with it. However, you are free to pick any language you wish to learn."
Does this mean that my animal companion can speak a language?
In short, I'm fairly certain that the answer is no. If the intention was to allow the animal to speak, it certainly wouldn't be just the language of your enemies.
When you gain this feature, you also learn one language of your choice, typically one spoken by your favored enemy or creatures associated with it.
This tells us that learning the language isn't part of the feature - the feature is detailed in the previous paragraph above, but this is separated out.

Stormknight is correct - this feature does not change the ability for an animal companion to speak, just as the animal suddenly could not write the language (since it likely lacks the physical ability (and INT) to do so). What it would do is allow for your animal companion to understand your favored enemy's language.
Just remember if your Bear can talk move to the city and retire I bet you could make money from folks asking it questions :)
Been watching Critical Role and all I can think of is a talking Trinket. Which then became a back talking Trinket when told to go 'Cannonball' through some enemies getting blood stuck in his fur. Trinket complaining about the awful taste of the goblins they fought...

"I have found the answer to the meaning of life. You ask me what the answer is? You already know what the answer to life is. You fear it more than the strike of a viper, the ravages of disease, the ire of a lover. The answer is always death. But death is a gentle mistress with a sweet embrace, and you owe her a debt of restitution. Life is not a gift, it is a loan."
