Legendary Resistance (1/Day). If the construct fails a saving throw, it can choose to succeed instead.

Magic Resistance. The construct has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.

Reflective Carapace. Any time the construct is targeted by a magic missile spell, a line spell, or a spell that requires a ranged attack roll, roll a d12. On a 1 to 11, the construct is unaffected. On a 12, the construct is unaffected, and the effect is reflected back at the caster as though it originated from the construct, turning the caster into the target.

Actions

Multiattack. The construct can use its Frightful Presence. Then it makes two attacks.

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 16 (2d10 + 5) piercing damage, and the target is grappled (escape DC 15). Until this grapple ends, the target is restrained, and the construct can’t bite another target.

Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target not grappled by the construct. Hit: 12 (2d6 + 5) slashing damage.

Legendary Actions

The construct can take 1 legendary action, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature's turn. The construct regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn.

Attack. The construct makes one claw attack or tail attack.

Move. The construct moves up to half its speed.

Description

This metal construct is shaped like a lizard, encased in a hollow ball of transparent crystal. By climbing the inside of the ball, the construct can move around while protected by the magically treated crystal. When the construct attacks, the crystal barrier melds around its claw or snout, so that the construct remains protected.
