Hear ye, hear ye!
UPDATE: Apply by replying to the tweet here: https://twitter.com/DnDBeyond/status/1042805604207669249
Beginning on Thursday, September 20th at 9 am PT, Strix will begin accepting applications to join the Chicken Foot Coven!
Apply to secure one of three guest star spots on the October 9th episode of Dice, Camera, Action! with Dungeon Master Chris Perkins!
To apply and enter to win, complete the following steps:
- Create a 5th-level character on D&D Beyond (character builder). All classes and races have a chance to be accepted - so barbarian, fighter, rogue, or anything other kind of coven members are welcomed! Apparently the coven will mostly be baking pies.
- Reply to the @DnDBeyond pinned tweet on Thursday, September 20th that will ask for applications with a link to your DDB character and a passionate, stirring, but oh-so-brief (because of Twitter character restrictions) application with why your character has what it takes to join the Chicken Foot Coven.
- Entries close on Monday, September 24th at 6pm PT, and three winners will be chosen and announced during the Tuesday, September 25th episode of DCA by Holly Conrad. The three winners will be chosen based on their application tweet reply to guest star on the October 9th episode of Dice, Camera, Action! alongside Strix herself!
Tymora's blessing upon you - we look forward to all the sub-optimal applications!
I don't watch Dice, Camera, Action, will we have to have knowledge of the characters and what is happening in order to participate?
I'm very excited. Dice Camera Action is the reason I became interested in D&D. I have a character in the tank I've been saving for a special occasion. Fingers crossed.
What classes specifically are allowed
Asking the real questions
Absolutely can't wait. I'm mostly excited to see any fan have this opportunity, not just myself.
So excited! This is unbelievably cool of you and the cast to do! Question though: I wouldn't want to give you a novel's worth of tweets to read, but is there a limit to how many characters per player can apply?
Heck yeah!! I'm totally down for this one. :3
I own the physical copy of Xanathar's Guide, but not a digital one. I would love to use one of the subclasses from it for my character, but don't have the capabilites to buy the digital copies right now.
Would it be alright to mention that in the notes of the character, as a sort of placeholder, or is there some other way to make that work?
Or am I bound to the basic rules this time around?
In any case I'll still enter; this is a really cool opportunity!
thanks!
I hope i get to have Chris Perkind kill my character!
Can we use Eberron or play tests stuff?
How do you want out stats done?
Wicked exciting! I'm totally doing this.
I believe that you are able to use any content available to you.
I am sure that all submitted characters are subject to DM suggestions.
Just do your CFC research and try snd build a character that eill relate to the current world they are playing in.
Hi Movieguyabw & Mcgratrd,
You are welcome to use Homebrew, UA and Eberron content in your submissions! However winners might need to make adjustments based on the Dungeon Masters preferences. After all if anyone was bringing a character into someone else's game, we would always be mindfull of the DMs requirements to work within the world!
Thanks!

Hi NewBenbumbumbum, Anthropodlogist, and JayCriminal,
Dice, Camera, Action is a live play-through of D&D’s latest storylines, run by Dungeon Master extraordinaire, Chris Perkins. Find out more information here: http://dnd.wizards.com/articles/news/new-weekly-dd-stream-chris-perkins
You don't need to have encyclopedic knowledge about the show, nor do you need to have played D&D before! As long as you are interested in and willing to play along you will have a great time! But you might want to catch up on a few episodes to understand what you are applying for and who you are applying to!
Thanks!
Lauren (OboeCrazy)
Hi Sohlcain,
You can create your character any way you prefer as long as it's a 5th level character!
Thanks,
Lauren (OboeCrazy)
Hi MikoCarina, MagerIssue, bria9509, and Sorcerer_Saladin,
You can use all races and classes available to you on D&D Beyond. You do need to include a character sheet from D&D Beyond in your submission, so you can use whatever you have unlocked. This contest is about creativity, so even if you only have the basic rules to work with you should feel empowered to create something full of flavor to catch Strix's eye!
Thanks!
Lauren (OboeCrazy)
Wow, I think I might be well positioned to do this. I've got a good camera, a good mic, and I've learned a thematic old kooky prospector voice, that works great as a nice way to distinguish my character :) Its really fun, I hope I get to share it with people if I win a slot.
except Twitter...yeah no thanks...
Is there a limit to how many we can submit?
