Hello Fellow Beyonders,
I'd like to announce that we now have the ability to gift purchases on our marketplace!
After adding something to your cart, you will see an option for "Purchase as a gift" right above the "Proceed to Checkout" button. When you choose this option, you will receive a product key code for each item. You will be able to find it in your account page under the marketplace tab. You can then send it to someone for them to redeem on their account.
For questions about how gifting works specifically, visit our FAQ page on our help center.

Wahoo!!!I immediately rushed to the Marketplace to purchase a Master Tier Subscription for a friend... and realized that apparently Subscriptions cannot be gifted. I checked the FAQ, and got an answer about that. Since that’s what I was specifically hoping to purchase as a gift, that was very disappointing.
My question is if there is any intention of expanding the gifting to include subscriptions? Otherwise the one thing I specifically wanted to purchase as a gift I would still not be able to do.
Edit: Query clarified.
Can we tie gifting directly to receiving user so that receiving user discounts can apply? As a DM with leg bundle I would now want players to pay full price for a gift I could get cheaper.
To celebrate this, can we have a 10% off on bundles and books? :p
I want to buy the bundle for our new DM with some friends, would be awesome!
tiny question....is there a way to gift subscriptions...or will there be in future?
Can we gift someone dark mode?
since I already own all the books that are currently out, would I still get the discount when purchasing as a gift?
Just to be clear, the item must be purchased as a gift in the first place then, correct? You can't gift something you already own, right? Are there any plans for that down the road? Thank you! :-)
As per the FAQ, not currently no.

The real question about the future. That’s my big question too.
Awesome!
This is great stuff!
Yeah, this is probably tricky since I think the idea is that you get a redeemable code. Maybe if users can be specified it'll be doable. I just asked my player to reimburse me after I bought Tasha's. Not a great outcome, but better than the full price issue.
Definitely happy to hear this has happened!
YAY
My family can get me presents here now!
Does anyone know what will happen if I buy a book for someone as a gift and it turns out they already own it? What happens to that content? Will the user be able to redeem it for a different book of the same value or will I have the option to return the gift, etc?
FYI, I submitted a question to find out what happens if you "gift" something to someone and they already owned it, here's is DNDB's response:
So like "Hey, happy birthday, what book can I give you as a surprise!?" smh

This is great, but I would really love to see gift cards as an option. My family would like to give me gifts, but none of them know anything about D&D so this option wouldn't work for them.
yeah, it would be nice if someone wanted to gift me a book but didn't know anything could just send me a "credit" or a "gift card" for $29,99 so I could pick which book to apply it toward.
I'm thinking about purchasing a book as a gift, but I've already bought the same book for myself, and can't figure out how to get it in my shopping cart to buy it as a gift. Is there a way to do this?
Edit: Nevermind. Figured it out.
I have nothing and I'm just getting started y'all should make a gift pack for new comers. I'm trying to figure out how to play on line like Facebook video chat or zoom video call or on here. But I can't find anyone or anyway to play. Please help. I really wish d&d would send me a gift box to my house so I could do a YouTube and Facebook unboxing video and get some people together to play.
