Aarakocra
Parent Race: Aarakocra

Dwelling on low rocky hills with strangely tall trees, living inside large wooden domes, these thick feathered long necked flightless birds are distant cousins of the Aarakocra.

After the first Aarakocra arrived in the material plane, a small group splintered off, settled down and evolved into this wildly different yet similar race.

They are characterized by their semi-nomadic life style, humanoid-like shape and an ancient alien past to boot;  Aepyornis are often foragers, hunters, adventures (rarely), traders, explorers or craftsmen.
