So disregarding the detailing needed to make sure the bloodline, pateon, and god dont clash in ideals, could a build like these be possible and effective?
The character would still be primarily a healer, which gods/patron/bloodlines would work best for this? And how many basic levels in each would maximize their effectiveness?
(For background, the idea was spawned from a party member joking about if they had all these multiclassing, it would basically just be a constant wine aunt custody battle for a very tired good boi)
Three classes? You can do it. Should you do it? That's the question. What do you expect to get out of each class is the other question. If I were building this character on a challenge, and didn't have specific goals for my multiclassing, I'd keep the dips to a minimum. You're going to need at least a 13 in both charisma and wisdom to make all three classes a legal MC. I need the cha and wis, I want dex. Half-elf (drow) is the easy pick for this race. 1 point to wis, 1 point to dex. Plugging it into the character builder allows me points with point but for 8 str (not going to melee) 14 dex, 14 con, 10 int (can dump, but I dislike too many negative mods), 13 wis, 17 cha (setting up for elven accuracy)
Divine soul sorcerer as the base class. It's going to provide me most of the meat and potatoes of my character, I'll be taking 17 levels of it. It will be the class I start off with to get con save proficiency.
1 level of life cleric. It gives medium and heavy armor, I dont have the str, so only using medium. The level 1 healer abilities should work with any divine sorc heals you cast. For my limited supply of cleric spells, I am taking spells that do not require attack rolls, saves or heals because my wisdom sucks. Buffs and utlities only. I'm getting bless and cure wounds for free, but I am /never/ casting cure wounds as a cleric spell. I will cast it as a sorcerer spell because of the better cha bonus. To be fair, I will probably never cast it as a sorcerer spell either, most healing will be via healing word.
Bless though is good to go. Sanctuary is probably a pick to me, and maybe protection from good and evil. There are also some ritual spells in there that might be worthy to prepare. Mostly I am running bless though (if not darkness or faerie fire). For cantrips, I am taking thaumaturgy, guidance, and mending. I'm not at all a fan of spare the dying.
I'm taking two levels of hexblade warlock. For my invocations, I am taking devil's sight and agonizing blast. Devil's sight allows me to see out of darkness, which I can cast with drow magic 1/day OR via sorc spells at second level for advantage. It's not always party friendly so I won't /always/ be doing it. When I am not, either bless or faerie fire from drow magic to buff my team. One of your warlock spells is shield, the other is probably not relevant; take what you want, I kinda like hellish rebuke, because suck it bad guy that dared to hit me. For cantrips, eldritch blast. it's why you sorlock. You get another one too. I'm taking minor illusion if I didn't take it when I was a sorc 1.
the rest of my levels are all going to divine sorcerer. I still get 9th level spells (read wish). I have full access to cleric healing spells via divine sorc. Mostly, I am going to try and get myself into a corner so I don't ruin LOS for my party, I'm going to darkness up and spam eldritch blast at things with advantage. When I get an ASI, I am taking elven accuracy so I roll 3 dice when attacking with advantage. I cast healing word as a bonus action on my teammates when they go down and need that heal.
Honestly, the level of cleric is a waste; you get everything you really want or need out of divine sorc and hexblade warlock. It's mostly there to check the box. Since cleric is a requirement, life at least makes your sorc heals better.
For your god, I'd go with some kind of a nurturing goddess. Eilistratee fits the half-drow, Selune is a good pick (and personal favorite).
Maybe Mystra; you're slinging a lot of magic around. Make your mother or grandmother Alustriel (one of the 7 sisters who kinda got around and Mystras daughters in a manner) and you're cooking with gas. You've got a shard Mystra's power, so you studied religion and entered her priesthood. It wasn't really for you so you moved on with your bad sorcerer self. Hexblade...meh, the lore they provide is imo, dumb and I'd never use it. Maybe you had a vision that led you on a quest to find Mystra's dagger which was lost when she was assassinated. Much like Sauron's ring, the dagger /wanted/ to be found, and made a pact with you to help lead you to it so it could get back to it's rightful master.
Any time an unfathomably powerful entity sweeps in and offers godlike rewards in return for just a few teensy favors, it’s a scam. Unless it’s me. I’d never lie to you, reader dearest.
I didn't read all of crzyhawk's post so there may or may not be similarities.
Half-elf. Focus CHA first, WIS and DEX only need to be a 14 (alternatively, you can do STR 15 instead of DEX if you want to do heavy armor). Level split will be divine soul sorcerer 16/life cleric 1/celestial warlock 3.
Start divine soul sorcerer (for CON saves). I don't like multiclassing casters before level 3, but you need AC, so grab a level of life cleric next (you now have proficiency with all armor and your heals are better). 2 more levels of sorc for metamagic and level 2 spells (spiritual weapon is your best friend). Next go 3 levels of celestial warlock to get level 2 slots and pact boon (you can do pact of chain and gift of the ever living ones invocation to max out self heals). Finish off sorcerer.
You have tons of cantrips, proficiency in all armor types and shields, can prepare level 1 utility cleric spells daily, can generate 4 sorcerer points each short rest, tons of healing options, and 3 gods fighting over you.
But honestly, you are probably mechanically better off going divine soul 17/hexblade 3.
Ok a different outlook on this, Triton with a buy point after racials being 14,10,14,10,14,14. Start Divine Soul, then Tempist cleric for heavy armor and Great Old One pack of the chain Warlock. Final levels being S8/C8/w4. The God is Poseidon, you wear full plate armor use a trident, and lightning spells, you have a servant (you are Poseidon's favorite after all), the sailor background.
Taking celestial warlock is kind of a waste as the bonus spells you get though cleric, the great old one works with the sea. You could take war cleric if you wanted to use the trident more that once a round. You are up casting spells with your higher level spell slots.
