Perhaps you guys can help me. A while back, I had purchased individual subclasses because I had ended up buying the physical copy of the book before I used D&D Beyond. After purchasing the Eldritch Knight subclass, I gave it to one of my characters. Right now, I'm trying to create a new character and use the same subclass. However, it is not appearing. I m only seeing Champion as an option.
My question is, after I had purchased the subclass, was it only accessible for one character or because the new book is coming out, it reset all of my purchases?
If it's the latter, I really don't want to buy digital copies of the books...
You do not need to buy anything new and nothing that you've bought has been taken away.
What has likely happened is that you have chosen the 2024 version of the Fighter class, but you don't have access to the 2024 Player's Handbook. In this scenario, you only have access to the subclasses from the 2024 Free Rules, in which Champion is only Fighter one.
What you want to do here is go to the Class tab of the character builder and switch from using the Core/2024 Fighter to the Legacy/2014 Fighter. Or, if you want to make a character using the 2024 rules, purchase the digital version of the 2024 Player's Handbook.

It's still there. You've probably selected the 2024 base fighter when you created it rather than a legacy 2014 fighter. Make sure you select the 2014 legacy fighter then check to see if Eldritch Knight shows up for you.

Any time an unfathomably powerful entity sweeps in and offers godlike rewards in return for just a few teensy favors, it’s a scam. Unless it’s me. I’d never lie to you, reader dearest.

It's mushroom season.
It's super sad knowing that I have to buy all the player book.
The option of being able to buy just one subclass or domain was great (2 years ago I've used it).
I know D&D Beyond wants more money, but even if they allow this, Im sure there is a lot of people who would buy the book just because is great.
I'm not happy for this change.
Also my DM already bought the book and Im in the campaign but I still don't have the option. (In some forums they said this could be an option)

The 2024 eldritch knight is a head and shoulders better....unfortunately you have to buy the full set.
Your DM has to share the content to the campaign - as long as your character is joined to that campaign it will be available.
