I'm stumped. I've read too many differing opinions on the internet, and while I have a general Paladin concept in my head, I'm kind of stuck between deciding upon an actual build for him.
Basics:
This is going to be a paladin in a 5ish player Storm King's Thunder campaign. I'm decided upon a Dragonborn Paladin, and will 99% be going Oath of the Ancients. They will be a far traveler background coming from Sossal. I'm looking to do a damage focused (but not necessarily solely focused) build, with some passive defenses from Oath of the Ancient.
My stat roll were 18 16 14 13 10 10. (Possibly my best rolls I've ever gotten in any campaign). I'm sure 14 is going to Con, 13 to Dex, and 10/10 to Int/Wis. Where I'm stumped is how I build Str and Cha, and whether I focus on feats or ASIs. I'm doing everything in my power to not read ahead on SKT to avoid spoilers or tainting the well.
I have some basic scenarios in my mind, and can't decide between them. My GM is letting us take Unearthed Arcana skill-based feats if we want.
Here are the scenarios. Those without Polearm Mastery would likely be Sword/Board, also keep in mind I don't know if we'll actually reach level 12:
Eveyrthing listed as STR / CHA
Scenario 1: Feat heavy +4/+4 stat modifiers at 1, +4/+5 at 8, +5/+5 at 12
-Level 1: 18 / 19
-Level 4: 18 / 19 - Polearm Master (extra attack, bonus 1d8 on that extra attack at level 11 makes it better than Great Weapon Master by far.)
Scenario 2. You have a great build. I’d grab polearm master and 20 Str first. At level 5 you are a monster. I might be tempted to take the Sentinel feat instead of the +2 Cha at level 12...

I've even built a survey to pass out around this because I can't make up my own mind. You can find it here.
Any and all input/feedback is greatly appreciated.
