Drinking a potion isn't a free action, so I doubt drinking a beer is. :)
Flipping the bird, though? Totally a free action. Unless you're talking about an actual bird, in which case I think you need to Grapple it before you flip it. :)

I had assumed the drinking a potion action was not free because it assumed you had to take it out of a pouch, before consuming it... which is why it took longer than a free action. I would allow taking a drink of beer to be a free action if the beer was already in arm's reach. Also, this assumes "drinking" means taking one gulp, not chugging an entire flagon of beer.

Drinking a potion is not a free action because a potion is basically a spell in a bottle.

Starting at 2nd level, your quick thinking and agility allow you to move and act quickly. You can take a bonus action on each of your turns in combat. This action can be used only to take the Dash, Disengage, or Hide action.
Starting at 3rd level, you can use the bonus action granted by your Cunning Action to make a Dexterity (Sleight of Hand) check, use your thieves’ tools to disarm a trap or open a lock, or take the Use an Object action.
If i can use thieves’ tools, why i canot use bottle by use an object?

Activating a magic item is not the same as the Use an Object action. See here. Presumably it is a balance issue, as Cunning Action is specifically noted.
You can always ask your DM for an exception, of course. I see nothing wrong with allowing a Thief to drink a potion as a bonus action, especially since it is so rare that Fast Hands is actually useful.
I love how this discussion has turned into drinking a beer mechanics. 😛
I'm enjoying that too.
So RAW. Any character can drink a beer as their 1 free Interact with the Environment. A Rogue can spend a Bonus Action to drink 2 beers in a single turn and still have their Action free.
So basically no one can out drink the Dwarf Rogue, as he can down 3 beers a turn, RAW.
A potion is a "magic item" and therefore requires an Action to activate.
Does that mean a Tabaxi rouge could use feline agility to move 60', action: dash 60', bonus action: dash 60' for a total distance of 180'? Feline agility can't be used next turn but you could travel up to 90' every turn afterward. That's fast. Cunning action used appropriately is really good.

Which isn't even impressive compared to the Tabaxi Monk who can go several hundreds of feet in a round with a few optimizations. Of course, at anything over 100' it quickly becomes silly in practical circumstances - you run out of space, get ambushed while running around blind corners, or the DM simply rules you can't notice anything until you're attacked because you're moving too fast.
I have a rogue, and at first I enjoyed that I was 1.5x times faster than any other player, but it just doesn't make sense. So I suggested during the last session to allow each kind of bonus actions to be used only once per each turn. So rogue is still epic, because he can dash and do some action, but isn't faster just because of that cast.
(I wanted to consider that if we don't limit the usage, no city guard will be able to catch a rogue, even if the rogue is a 25 ft fast dwarf, and the guard is a 40ft fast minotaur.)

Why does that not make sense? A monk is also faster. That is a part of those two classes... A Rogue should be able to make a quick getaway, as a someone with a criminal's skillset. You can commit as many crimes as you want so long as you don't get caught, and Rogues should be better than your average unclassed criminal.
Besides, if you're in a city there's going to be more than one guard, so the Rogue should need to be sneaky to make sure they don't run dead-on into the next one.
So I suggested during the last session to allow each kind of bonus actions to be used only once per each turn.
You do know you can only take one bonus action per turn, right?

Matthias, I feel really dumb now. :) I went into exaggeration I guess to much regarding the comparison, and I didn't really check my calculations.
But I knew about the bonus actions, that only once can be taken. But We can take the Dash action as well from the action. Right? So 1x move, 1x action, 1x bonus action. That was really concerning to me. But Mellie was also right, monks are faster too, and for the rogue it only gives a short speed, because the traveling speed won't change due to this actually. So it's really just a sprint.
I'll have to check the DM rules for exhaustion, because I'd assume that even if a player would say that they are dashing twice each turn, they can't do that for too long.
Update - I found an article in DM Guide about the dash, and that is an absolutely legit limitation. :)
Basically players can freely use the Dash action a number of times equal to 3 + its Constitution modifier. Each additional Dash action it takes during the chase requires the creature to succeed on a DC 10 Constitution check at the end of its turn or gain one level of exhaustion. A creature can remove the levels of exhaustion it gained during the chase by finishing a short or long rest.

Sense each round is six seconds this equates out 20 mph. So while thats pretty quick in D&D world, it's at the higher end of average for a fit adult. Usain Bolt can hit 27 mph and I'm sure he can see what is going on around him just fine.

“Dangerous and full of fire,” Jarlaxle agreed.
“I might have to kill her.”
“I might have to bed her.
As I understand it, the first scenario would be a correct usage:
The second one is a bit trickier. According to the PHB (page 192)
Based on this, you wouldn't need to disengage again halfway through your movement. Instead, you could
At least, that's the way I would interpret it...
I can't find the upvote button on mobile, so I'm just posting to say he has it right. 👍
If you need more clarification on option 2 tho, you could do:
1. Move 15'
2. Attack
3. Cunning Action Disengage
4. Move 15'
