I'm into assassin, even if it isn't the strongest, it suits my play style the best. It's really satisfying to do, like, fifty damage with one strike at fourth level when you aren't playing a combat heavy character.

That can be a lot of fun, but don't forget about the assassin's second and third archetype features; Infiltration Expertise, and Impostor. I used to think that they were really useless abilities until I got into a RP heavy campaign where those abilities came in SUPER handy! Infiltration Expertise is just great for getting into locations and gathering intel in general, and Imposter was really useful for a magic lock my party encountered that required the voice of the person who put the lock up to open it. (In case you are wondering, our magic user with the knock spell was kidnapped and that's why we wanted in the building.) Imposter allowed us entry like it was nothing and the DM was so mad because he thought that he was going to end up having us ambush the guy who opened the door and force him to open it for us. But I said, NOPE! And so we then went in and rescued our magic user ^.^

I'm conducting some class polls.
I think Thief is the most fun to play, it has good abilities and makes me feel like I'm not only useful in combat.
My first (current) character is a Thief but would love to try Arcane Trickster or Mastermind when I'm more confident.
