I’m playing a fathomless warlock in my current campaign. In the 2024 PHB update, The warlock subclasses from the core book got the buff of all their expanded spell list spells being automatically known once they reached certain levels and they no longer have to choose between their subclass specific “flavored” spells and other spells off the warlock spell list. This buff didn’t get extended to the Tasha’s subclasses which include the fathomless. Any suggestions on the best way to homebrew this (I’m assuming this is the only way to add this benefit to a fathomless warlock).
i'd say it works like all the others, you get the spells automatically known. Considering the change was made after the subclass came out, you might be able to talk with your DM and move some spells around and change spells out but they seem to be pretty fitting as they are. I wouldn't worry too much! :)

Imagine a sorcerer riding a catoblepas into an epic battle to the last minute of black-heart by two steps from hell.
Yeah, I tried that and when I go to select the spells from the homebrewed feat, the first spell choice has no options to select and the other two don’t have the spells I tried to add in there. I’m sure I’m doing something wrong in the homebrew section, just not sure what

That's basically whats going on inside my head.
Make a Feat that grants the missing spells and add it manually.

Ah, I figured that part out, it shows that you can cast them at will which is a bit weird
Yup. You have to remember to mark off that you cast it. I haven't found a way around that.
I recently found another post that shows you how to homebrew a subclass to add spells and they don’t count against your spells known. That may work
