Question about the size of the magical Tentacle of the Deep you can create. It says you create a 10 foot tentacle and can attack creatures 10 feet from it. So is it size equivalent of a medium creature with reach, or is equivalent to a large creature with 10ft reach?
Tentacle of the Deep strikes me more like a Spiritual Weapon with reach than a creature because it can’t be attacked. On the battle map, mine gets a token in a 5’ square, so like one end is its anchor and it can reach 10’ from there. Not sure if that’s right or wrong; it’s the way we’re doing it.

Calling it a creature was my bad, yes, I was just trying to ask in a concise way of asking it it took up a 1 by 1 5ft square, or if it took up 2 by 2 squares. So you think it only takes up one square space and not 4.
The tentacle will not take up space on the map like a creature would, other creatures, even hostile ones, can move through the point that it is created at.

The way we play it works essentially like a medium creature wielding a reach weapon. It occupies an 5’ square and can attack the 24 squares around it within 10’ reach. Except it can’t be attacked and, as R3sistance says, it doesn’t really occupy the space from which it attacks.

I see, well was asking for size cause was looking at tentacle minis I would be able to use to show on physical map when use this ability.
I envision it as occupying a single 5x5 square, with 10' worth of reach.

Any time an unfathomably powerful entity sweeps in and offers godlike rewards in return for just a few teensy favors, it’s a scam. Unless it’s me. I’d never lie to you, reader dearest.
