As some of the Order of Scribes features will be standard features (in similar form) of the Wizard class, I wonder if there will be an Order of Scribes update as well?
So a good idea might be to further improve on the abilities!? Like using the spell switching within one turn as originally proposed in Unearthed Arcana instead of doing so in a short rest?
I could be missing something, but the only feature the new 2024 base wizard gets that the scribes wizard subclass has is the ability to use your spellbook as a focus.

How I'm posting based on text formatting: Mod Hat On - Mod Hat Off
Scholar feature: Implicitly makes Order of Scribes (OoS) less nerdy in comparison as all Wizards get more nerdy
Spellbook can be used as focus
Backing up spellbook faster and cheaper: That used to be a main selling point of OoS (especially if you have a nasty DM who likes to rob your spell-book)
All Wizard get two spells from their school plus one extra - poor OoS doesn’t have a school and is stuck with two spells when leveling up
The subclasses get extra features and always prepared spells that don’t count against their spells slots - which is similar to but more practical than the OoS Master Scrivener feature that allows you that extra one extra spell on a scroll
Maybe in a few years. They arbitrarily choose that all classes get 4 subclasses, ignoring how some classes (wizard/cleric) do need vastly more.
5.5 is about selling all the same books again that are just different enough to justify their existance. I'm sure they're gonna be adding more on, though I do see that wizards/clerics will get screwed and never see the same number of subclasses again in 5.5. If you look at all the 5th ed books, they have 3-5 subclasses in them on average. So many classes don't get a new subclass each book, and wizards/clerics are missing most of theirs.

There may eventually be, but not with the PH.
If you want to use it, talk to your GM about homebrewing a version with new features to replace the stolen ones.
