According to the current Adventurer’s League rules, it is the player’s handbook plus one other. You can choose from: Tasha’s, Xanathar’s, Mordenkainen’s and Volo’s.

So... no Theros, Wildemount, or anything like that?
Hello fellow Adventurers, Dungeon Masters, Gods, Demigods, Halfbloods, Liches, so on and so on...
My humble question is this:
what books are allowed at Adventurer's League? It's my first time going, and I want to have the right character made.
Thank you in advance

What are you playing ? Historic which means all the adventure paths except for Icewind Dale. In which case all the non campaign books are open. No Eberron, Theros, Etc. Seasonal which is Season 10 and Icewind Dale. Or Masters which are about 10 modules and Icewind dale.

this and Jasper's responses are overly simplified (or more accurately - the rules are overly complicated) as there's unfortunately several sets of current rules for AL - what you're actually playing dictates the set of rules you should be looking at. the above response only applies if you're playing AL - Plague of Ancients. If you're playing with the current rules for Historic Campaigns, its a longer list. Ask your DM. Not all non-campaign books are authorized if you're really going RAW.
