My local game store is running Riddle of the Raven Queen in a couple weeks, and I'm really looking forward to it, but have an interesting conundrum: my Hexblade Warlock has formed his pact with the Raven Queen.
I can see this either being a great opportunity to role play and really explore my characters relationship with his patron... OR put myself in a situation where I'm forced to either not be true to the character or be adversarial to my party. I'd rather avoid the the latter situation, and was wondering if someone familiar with the module knows whether or not that might be an issue.
I think you'll be fine in terms of dealing with the Raven Queen. It's a fun, interesting, and rewarding adventure.
In terms of lore, it was my understanding that hexblades made their pacts with sentient weapons that may or may not have been made by the Raven Queen and not with the Raven Queen herself. I think the text of hexblade says this but I'm AFB right now. Also the UA that has the Raven Queen specifically as a warlock patron would also imply that this is WotC's intention too. I'm not saying there's a problem necessarily, but be ready for some possible DM pushback in this module where it might never have come up before.
Edit: I think I was wrong and that the Raven Queen is a perfectly valid patron choice. I reread the hexblade from XGtE and it's subtly but importantly different from the UA hexblade lore. It seems almost like they rolled the Raven Queen and Hexblade lore into the Hexblade when it was released in XGtE. Still, I doubt I'm the only one with this misconception. Be ready for some side eye.
In the Adventurers League guidance for Mordenkainens Tome of Foes, they say that the Raven Queen cannot be chosen as a deity but that she can be chosen as a Warlock Patron. They don't specify which type of otherworldly patron she is, but I figure I'm pretty safe, and so far no DM pushback. lol

I second this. I'd make sure to try and play both parts if you can, it is quite fun.

I think I'll be going to this on 7/7. If that's not too late for you I'll give you an update.

Thanks for the update!
