Thankyou for the replies! I took a departure from pencil this week and did some digital artwork for my Steepfield Cheese Festival. There's only one picture I'm going to post here (the rest could be considered spoilers!):
I have started a campaign for my world where I intend to move away from Humans being the "Default", and so I am starting to work out how to get everything nicely emulsified.
To that end, I made a random generator and I have drawn this today:
I'm kinda stumped as to what to draw next, so please give me suggestions! Happy to (try to) draw peoples characters as well, or monsters, whatever really - I need to try new things!
Meanwhile I will use a creature combiner I've made to invent new and terrifying monsters! Starting with...
A couple of characters drawn as an art trade with https://mossy-willow.com/, stretched my boundaries (not difficult) by doing skinny people!
the tired father:
and the rebellious (adoptive) son:
both characters designed by them and drawn by me (based on their art, which I must say was somewhat better than mine!)
Enjoyed the second quite a bit as I was tired so I was more slapdash on sketching and colouring and honestly the art flowed much nicer! Also happy with the dad's face, I think I did that well!
happy to (try) and draw anyone's characters and such if they want me to!

How about drawing some "flavor scenes"? Things like visiting the open market, or entering the town through the gate and being "interviewed by the guards"? How about negotiating with the alchemist, or the trader? What would it look like to meet the blacksmith? How about bringing your horse to the stable, or retrieving it? How about a scene where the bard is playing/singing at the hearth and most folks are having a good time with their "cups"?
I always wanted a picture of my character walking through a dungeon passage with the paladin in front of him and another character behind him. My character (a half-elf bard) is wearing roman style leather armor and helmet, carrying a light crossbow, and has a pouch across his chest where he keeps his wooden flute (spell casting focus). The character behind the bard is carrying a torch so you can't see his face well. The paladin, you can only see his arm with his sword in his gauntleted fist.
I always thought flavor drawings would make a campaign come alive in the minds of your players.

There is one I just thought up and simply have to see. It's the all-time most famous scene of D&D. Well, second most famous, after "You All Meet in a Tavern". And it's...
How do you want to do this? (Yes, Matt Mercer owns the copyright, but he's not the only one who has used it and probably wasn't even the first). I'd find it hilarious if the image was something like a monk punching a tarrasque to death, for instance, but feel free to go mad on it and scribble out the all-time-most-horrifying demon turtle squid ooze (horns of a demon, face and shell of a turtle, hind limbs of a squid, and it spits acidic globules) being taken down by the stomp of the largest Goliath ever seen if you feel like it.
Those are both awesome suggestions, I will see what I can do. I might be about to run out of sketchpad today so I'm ordering another to arrive this week!
More doodles, tried using ink for the first time today, 3 pands I bought forever ago! luckily, they still work!
I ran out of A4 so will need to sort out a new pad for the other drawings. MusicScout, how were you wanting the corridor scene to look? side on, or from the front or back?
Yes. I would like the middle guy to be a little closer to see the details of his armor shirt and helmet, but that is exactly the general idea I had in mind. I think it gives a great impression of the party having to file in along a narrow corridor. Another detail is he is wearing a rapier on his left hip and a bag of holding on his right hip slung over his shoulder.

I am still looking for ideas for stuff to draw - I let real life get in the way of these hobbies, so if you have a character or monster you want drawn, post it here and if I feel inspired, I'll try and draw it!
As a random update, a biro drawing of a character who will be coming up in my campaign at some point. I was aiming for sadness and anguish in the eyes. I think I got it, to some extent!
(Note: I will be using plain pape again, I was just drawing on what I had to hand!)
Can you draw the Grim Sweeper? He would look like the Grim Reaper, so a skeletal figure wrapped in a tattered and torn cloak but he carries a broom instead of a scythe and is surrounded by grave dust. He is Death in my campaigns and all my characters love him.
Or you could do the Porpoise of Life. He is a celestial porpoise blessed with healing and life giving abilities. In my world, life domain characters are often empowered by him and he can cure almost any disease or wound. When he needs to travel on land he becomes a tall handsome man with gray skin and a porpoise head in order. He is always surrounded by life and growth and has a permanent aura of vitality on him.
Or Pandemonium. He is the Lord of Chaos and Madness in my world, his brother is Dionysus. He appears as a strange figure in a purple suit with coat tails, wears a purple top-hat and he carries a cane. Instead of a head, there is a cluster of floating eyeballs that can blast beams of light at his enemies. He is chaotic evil and is abnormalities are his footsteps.
Or, Issitoq, inuit spirit of justice and punisher of those who break higher laws. He either takes the form of a giant flying eyeball, or a hairy beast with a mane of spiky hair. His teeth are arranged strangly, and his two eyes are divided in their centers. He also seems to struggle with sadness and despair and may comfort those in times of need.
I have already drawn most of these but I would love to see another artist's imagining of them. You can do any, all, or none of these, but you asked for suggestions and these are some of my favorite characters to use as a DM.
Thankyou for the replies!

Hi, I am not a chest. I deny with 100% certainty that I am a chest. I can neither confirm nor deny what I am beyond that.

Duck-Slayer,
I was thinking the corridor scene would be front on looking over the shoulder of the paladin.

This sort of thing?
it's a hasty sketch but it sounds about right?
