Have I stepped into middle earth? This reminds me of looking at the maps in the tolkien books that were from a few years after the initial printing, yellowing and a bit faded. Man would I be stoked to have this handed to me in a DnD game, makes me feel like I should add some craftiness to my games.

"Where words fail, swords prevail. Where blood is spilled, my cup is filled" -Cartaphilus
"I have found the answer to the meaning of life. You ask me what the answer is? You already know what the answer to life is. You fear it more than the strike of a viper, the ravages of disease, the ire of a lover. The answer is always death. But death is a gentle mistress with a sweet embrace, and you owe her a debt of restitution. Life is not a gift, it is a loan."
Ok so here is the result of my tea experiment. I the recipe that I discovered is 6 teabags to 4 cups of water then I left the tea until it turned really dark. I let the map soak for ten to 15 mins but you can let it soak longer if you want it darker. I baked it in the oven at 200 to 250 and opened the oven every 1 to 2 minutes. (be sure to keep an eye on it or whoosh!) once the paper is crispy and the edges are folding up the map is done. After this gently place it under a flat heavy surface until flat.
I love the aesthetic of your map! I'm wondering about your process for when I maybe one day get into dm-ing haha.
Edit: I should really look at the rest of the thread before I comment -_- Glad you put it out there! I've only ever heard of people using coffee for this kind of staining but tea really looks nice, and I'm sure smells nice, too!
Alright so after inking I added a coffee stain and oven finish. What do you guys think? https://www.cartographersguild.com/showthread.php?t=42330

Thanks that was actually the first time I got the coffee and oven trick to work XD
I am experimenting with a strong English tea that comes in a purple box the results looks promising. If it goes the way I think I'll post it up.
