Have just started painting my Aboleth for the campaign I'm currently DM-ing, it's made from clay, poly-filler, a plastic aquarium plant and part of a toy alien from Independence Day. Looks a bit rough at the moment but I should hopefully have another couple of weeks to work on it before I need to reveal it to my players.
I like that you made it big. The monster manual has them as large sized, but I feel a proper aboleth should be huge and menacing. I would love to hear how you work it into your game and how the encounter goes.
Thanks for the feedback, I hadn't shown this to any of the players so it got a pretty dramatic reaction when I put it on the table. Players actually did well against it, but then they were fighting it in a burning building which is not exactly the creature's preferred territory, it's mate is gonna be a whole other story. Will reuse the model but might give it a new paint job, currently looking at pictures of fish for inspiration, any ideas?

That aboleth is horrifying.

With some paint on:
And double-teaming the party with a walking wizard's tower. They managed to kill the Aboleth but was definitely worth it.

I think you did a wonderful job.

That would be terrifying to fight.
