I surely wish I could draw character art lol. I have two that I would love to see come to life through some nice watercolor or digital art. I can only pencil sketch (by hand) weaponry and the like...
I can't draw myself, but whenever I have a little bit of cash to spare I love commissioning artists to draw characters for me. Speaking of which, the awesome 0dettte on Twitter just recently finished a commission for me of my entire Friday night D&D group.
My character is the tiny red-haired halfling cleric who everyone else absolutely towers over.
Thank you! I did this portrait around level 2. After spending a few more months worth of sessions with him, it's funny to see how much further I played him into the darkness. I'm sure he'll only get creepier from here on out. >:)
I cannot as yet afford to commission any art of my characters, so I draw inspiration from other artworks. (Pictures link to websites except for the Pathfinder art; I couldn't find its origin)
This is the picture I used as inspiration for my newest character, an unnamed tiefling druid:
I used this picture as inspiration for my Tiefling Rogue, Pixie (technically the picture is a Qunari, but she's so pretty):
This picture was used as inspiration for my bard, Remy (and I actually am getting artwork of him done, as the artist of this piece doesn't want people using the picture to represent other characters):
And then for my only non-tiefling character, Theodosia, my half-elf alchemist, I used some Pathfinder artwork for her inspiration:
I got these two commissioned not too long ago. The bust was $7 or so, and the half-body was $10. I colored them both myself, but all art credit goes to the fantastic person listed in the image. In terms of who they are...
Nasseh is a very haughty, high elf wizard. He's a pretty boy with a smart mouth that gets him into more trouble than it gets him out of. He used to be a nice boy, but a few years alone have really done a number on his social skills. He's the type to "do first, ask later," but to ask a vehement amount of questions afterward. His most used spells are misty step and alter self, the latter of which... well, he doesn't use it too well. Highlights there include: fooling set of guards into thinking that they were actually traitors, and morphing into his party's leader in order to sneak out some important documents... and then forgetting half of the guy's appearance.
Wukong is a super jubilant human monk. He got impaled while fighting a Goliath Warchief, but he got better. A bit dim witted but well spirited, Wukong met his end at the very tail end of our campaign, when the big bad guy basically went Super Saiyan and managed to take down half of the party. His final word ("Captain?") was uttered when he (and the party) managed to free his best friend (and the party leader) from the BBEG... only to be wiped out a second later.
Both characters were super fun, but both are now deceased. I didn't get to play Nasseh quite as I envisioned him, but I had a bunch of fun nonetheless.
EDIT: Well, apparently I don't know how to internet and my attempt at adding the pictures failed utterly. But you can scroll down my Tumblr page to find them. Maybe someone will be kind enough to let me know how to post images from my computer (Mac Mini & Google Drive).
Here are some character sketches I did for the player characters in my current Lost Mines of Phandelver campaign. They were also part of my Inktober sketches for last year that can be found here until I get my Artstation account up and running.

"This world is but a canvas to our imagination."
I'm gonna have to post my work here! I've drawn both npc and pc characters for a game I ran for 6 years and the group loved them.
All of the art already here is so good! Here's a quick drawing I did of my (ridiculously long-eared) gnome wizard
Here's a half-orc I made with a brush and india ink.

Hmm...
I thought I followed the directions to post an image correctly. Anyway, here's a link instead:
Half-orc: Brush & Ink
I am going to have to break down and find someone to commission for my current character...

There's so much personality to this art, Robo. Captures your character perfectly it seems!

Heya all! I'm a sucker for the chibi-esq art style, so naturally I've gotten some of my favorite characters commisioned!
"Sir, let me be frank with you..."
A lot of lovely pieces!

I`ll post it anyway. And yes, one of the main NPCs is Grinch.

@BROWNY I like the art style and use of index cards to have for quick access. Very nice and convenient!
Do not expect people to be smart, but do not allow them to be stupid. If there is one thing I have learned it is this.
In no particular order!
The chibis are cute eh! I made a chibi out of my half orc once. Diggin' the Chibis!
Yeah so the drawing is a big out of proportion. Lol, sue me.
These are great! Especially love the Monk. :D
