It's an amazing out of the door Beta, I must say. I'm nothing but impressed so far.
The only tweak I would suggest (and forgive me if this is already out in the wild/addressed by the "omni" search FAQ answer) are hypertext jump links to specific spells/monsters/etc listed in passages. For example, when discussing the plane shift spell in the "Planes of Existence" section, I should be able to click that text to be brought directly to the spell's dedicated page. The SRD20 currently does this. My guess is it's slated for future releases but putting it out there just in case. Great work!
Besides the aforementioned issues mainly regarding artwork, I think you guys have done a stunning job. Phase 2 should be quite exciting. The question now is, will there be WiFi in the dungeons?
Let's not conflate people who are unhappy at having to use Twitch accounts with people who are confused about why they have to use Twitch accounts. It was not a major ordeal to sign on with my Twitch account but i'm still not happy about having to do that for reasons that are best left to the thread devoted to that topic.
Thanks for addressing things so quickly! I'm absolutely loving phase 1 and can't wait for the character building. I can already see myself using DDB at my table and am looking forward to trying it out this weekend.
So far, so good. I was expecting a lot less, but you guys really pulled through.
I am looking forward to the next phases. Especially when it comes to Character Creation and possibly a very own monster creation.
A few questions (probably due to me not noticing or ready everything thoroughly), but will there be a version of this for the previous D&D Editions before 5th edition? Also where would the information of character/creature creation data be saved in?
I agree with this one. If I'm using a monitor tablet or even phone, I would like to have a quick picture with a small blurb / description on a monster that I can show as a DM. Would be helpful if we could even add a small amount of text or a description to a monster picture that would be related to our account or fall under some "homebrew" category.
So far, so good. Being able to look up the monsters by levels is a big help, and setting this up on a secondary monitor helps with working out encounters.I hope future versions will havew a tabletop simulator, that could be at least off line - Me on one computer with all my information, and the playing field on another.
Chuck in the ability of maintain campaign details, and we are good.
Edit: After looking around a bit more, it seems that what I'm talking about is already planned for the future. Sorry for causing mischief!
First off, great job! I want to thank the dev team for creating such an impressive tool; can I donate to this? I do have one beef, however. It's actually kind of serious.
Regarding the "missing content": I understand that you don't want to freely give content that people would normally have to pay for, and I'm not asking you to. WoTC is a business, after all. However, I have four thick volumes on my desk, and I fear that this website is so handy, it might just make those books I paid for useless. See, if I'm using this website as my go-to reference for D&D material (which I plan to), then there really ought to be a way to access paid-for content on it, so that such content doesn't simply go to waste. This may be impossible to implement for already printed books, but future prints could have a unique code that could be redeemed on the site. At the very least, the content could be unlocked on the website with a digital purchase.
I apologize if there's a better thread for this; I thought this would be a good place since I'm responding to a point made by OP. Is it possible we could see something like this?
Cuz I would really love pulling up a picture of a froghemoth on here.
Will the compendium include class write-ups? It would be nice to be able to look up class features like wild shape or bardic inspiration without needing to go make a character.

Absolutely will include races, classes, backgrounds, feats, etc. - we will literally have all the content when we launch.
As a DM I would love to have the basic weapons, armour, gear and class abilities in their own list.Scrolling through the compendium on my android is more cumbersome than asking google what or physically flipping pages to find what a dagger should cost.
Didn't see a thread to post this but while creating a Barbarian Character I noticed that there is only information on one of the primal paths, path of the Berserker or the Path of the Totem Warrior, there is no information on the Path of the Totem Warrior. Was it left out of the SRD-OGL_V5.1 PDF?
I'd like to be able to filter by range. Specifically, familiars can deliver spells with a range of Touch, and there doesn't seem to be a way to find those now.
First I have to admit I am a late comer, having only found you a couple of weeks ago. That being said as an old school pen and paper guy this site and system are very well done, all the information is given a format that makes it easy to use for the beginner as well as the old dogs like myself, the creation tools are godsend and have allowed me to bring in some novice player and help them understand the game not only faster but with a greater grasp of what is happening than if I was forced to teach the game from the books. Well Done!! Apologizes if any of this has already been mentioned, as I said. Just got here.

Compendium= cumbersome
Spell list = close to perfect
Magic Weapons = damn good
I'd like to add my support to any suggestion to maximize the use of hotlinks within articles (especially to relevant rules).
